Used Paint tool SAI/Intuos5;

 

Probably the last dark magic picture i completed for quite a while. After youve done one or two you basically covered everything there is to it. Had a lot of fun drawing this one. Its very OOC for mine, but everypony has a darker side, right? I'm thinking of adding some torches to the walls and work on shading/light effects later on, so i may update/revisit it at some point. Since i just started i still need to pick some things up.

 

Also did a tiny background story for the pic.

 

"Having discovered the "Cave of Descent", a leftover of an ancient dark magic cult which was once defeated by Luna/Celestia, he strips it bare of all its hidden knowledge and power, emerging more powerful than ever... And is confronted by those who were once his friends."
