Silverjacketcolt 68 November 25, 2012 Share November 25, 2012 My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: FluttershyHow did you find MLP Forums?: I googled MLP Forums. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I saw a few clips on Youtube, thought nothing of it except that a few things looked kinda...interesting? My roommate at the time caught wind of the show about a month later and after expressing his interest, I got more open about my own interest. We decided to throw a big viewing party to either laugh at how awful it was or enjoy it. With about 10 people in our living room, we sat down and had our minds blown, and as fellow bronies came out in our friendship circle, I found a new obsession. I've always been manly in the sense of not caring how others judge my obsessions. I'm 6'3", wear a beardy-goatee thing, work with cars, and swear like a sailor. This is the image that comes with meeting me, a smartass bear-man with a deep, charismatic voice and a pension for being a leader in whatever he does. That being said, I love cartoons, the color pink, cute things, and friendship. I believe that's one reason MLP struck a cord with me, and I never questioned it. I've never been ashamed to tell anyone of this love, and if anyone tries to judge me on it I just look down on them, let their comments run off me like water off a duck's back and make them feel silly with their inability to get my goat. I am proud of my manliness, and I'm proud that my manliness is different from someone else's. It's mine, and I wear it as such, and no one can rob me of that. I am a gamer, a writer, and a cartoonist. My desire would be to get my own webcomic going and have it go somewhere financially. Of course all artists desire that, and I'm definitely not better than most, but to dream is to be human, or...pony? Idunno... whatever is proper for everypony here... I already have a joke-a-day webcomic that just recently broke 100 likes on facebook (yay.), but I'm really terrible at updating it... However, the other day I started drawing ponies... like...a LOT. I drew up some conceptual work and I am debating and contemplating a Pony webcomic. This is one reason I came here. I love this community, but I've always been on the outside looking in, and I don't know how to even enter such a tight-knit and talented group with my simple crap. I've never been great at being part of a forum, but I want to learn and grow here. I want input, feedback, and to know if I'm wasting my time with this or not. My fiancee, who was getting almost burnt-out on ponies because of me, has done a complete 180 since I started this project. She's beyond excited and is really pushing me to pursue it! That makes me happy, but part of the point of this project is also to forge my position inside the community, and that's why I want your feedback! This is a color concept of the two main characters of the webcomic, based off of my fiancee and myself. This is a raw panel I sketched out from what I plan to be a proof of concept strip. This one and the next were done in MSPaint as a joke, one as the banner of and MTG group, the other as a commissioned playmat (Don't worry, no one paid for this crap!) And finally, this is my concept with some bad coloring for the banner of my Warhammer 40k Dark Angels army. I need to clean it up and figure out how to transfer it onto my model, but it should be awesome. Also planning on having a ravenwing bike squad painted like the Mane 6. I hope you enjoyed this sample, please critique the hell out of these as they're mediocre at best. Don't worry, I can definitely take it! Thank you for reading, and I can't wait to get to know you all! ~Silver
