Drawings versus alternate art

Question for everyone! Which do you prefer, pony drawings (digital or traditional) or alternate pony art?

 

When I saw alternate art I mean like plushies and things. I have a friend who makes plushies and she's working on making a quilt out of the Discord stain glass window. I for example like to make chain mail tapestries for cutie marks.

 

Personally I prefer alternate art. Sure drawing can be intricate and difficult to make, but looking at just drawings all day can be kind of boring. It's always interesting to see what people come up with when working with alternate resources.

It's really 50/50 for me.

 

The term "Alternate art" is a much wider concept we're talking about. There are so many styles, that it would be impossible to get bored of.

 

Now, drawing is a classical and probably the most popular way to express art, and most of the times, it looks the most appealing to our eyes.

That is a good point about how there are many styles. I've seen all sorts of art that wouldn't be considered traditional or digital drawing. Music is an alternative art style that is very popular too for example.

 

I guess it really does depend on what a person wants at the moment.
