Uh, you sure this isn't metalcore? It doesn't sound like the post-hardcore I listen to, lql. Also, you need to work on your voice. I know that the standard voice quivering is commonplace through out post-hardcore, but your screams sound weak at points. And that solo seemed really unnecessary. :T A lot of stuff could be improved here.

IMO metalcore would have had heavier instrumentation, with the characteristic breakdowns and stuff of that nature. The more upbeat, flowy feel of the song I believe lends itself more to post-hardcore. :P Either way, the genres are somewhat similar.

And if my screams sound weak, it's because they are, haha. I haven't legitimately tried screaming in about a year, so this is one of my first attempts to do heavy vocals on a song (besides Staring at the Wall which is on my album) in a LONG time. I'll definitely be working on my screams, and since I plan to do more songs of this style, you can expect better heavy vocals on my future stuff.

As for the solo, I understand if it seems slightly out of place. However, I think the space after the second chorus would've sounded really uninteresting without some sort of lead guitar. Plus I wanted to try out some finger-tapping stuff since I just learned it.

Thanks for listening, though, I do appreciate the critique!
