Rainbow Dash 1,472 February 7, 2013 Share February 7, 2013 This is a short story that goes a little deeper into my OC's background. i cut alot of the story off mostly because it was to bloody for the forums. Without further ado here it is: Long trail to Solitude Jack yellled out as his father took his last breath and fell to the ground. The bandits who hisfather was working with were actually bounty hunters. Jack’s father, John was a bad guy. He robbed everyone andkilled whoever got in his way. Jack’s mother was murdered shortly after giving birth to Jack. John raised Jack thebest he could, but even that wasn’t enough to prepare him for a life ofsolitude. The bounty hunters walked away withot saying a word. They only laughed and talked about how to spend the coin reward for John. Jack then crawledto his dad and tried to see if he was still alive. “You might have been anawful man, but you were the only thing I had.” Jack took his fathers possesions and walked off into the horizon. Eight years have passed since that day. Jack who was now eighteen years old was his own man. He walked the great wide open alone and bitter. Aside from the occasional wanderer andwhoever sat next to him at a local saloon, Jack had no interaction with otherpeople. The story with him, according to the towns ponies, went like this: Jack was the same as his father the infamousJohn. Jack respected his father , but not his work. When people started to say things like that he had the idea to take up his dad’s name to restore honor to it. The job was tough and nearly impossible, but he knew that he had to do it for his father. Jack tried to make friends with thetowns ponies but with no avail. Jack spent months trying to be a model citizenbut only a handful of ponies ever gave him a chance. Jack starts to get more social with each passing week. The ponies start to warm up to him, but he is still spiteful towards them. They didn’t give him a chance at first but now they wanted to be his friend. Jack was confused by this and reacted the only way he knew, drinking and swearing. Jack now spends his days getting into weird situations and trying to find people thatunderstand him. He never forgets his days he spent alone on the great wide open. 1 R.I.P.
