Dog Help: Scratching, Chewing, and Biting Herself

(Not sure where to put this)

Pretty much what the title says. I need some help because my dog is scratching, chewing, and biting herself. My family has gone through too many Vets to count, and none of them ever said there seemed to be a problem. At first we thought it was fleas, but it wasn't. Then we thought it was possibly mange; nope. Physchological problem? No, also.

Every page I go to says "Mange, or "Fleas", or "Physchological Problem", when it isn't. Last night infact, I washed her because we thought it was dry skin. I woke up today, and what do I see? My dog scratching and biting herself nonstop again. I know no one here (probably) is a Vet, but I need some serious help on what might or might not be going on with my dog.

^^^^>>>>If it happens to be a habit....your dog might be stuck with the cone!<<<<^^^^

Seems like the current Veterinarians you visited for your dog aren't that great at pin pointing the problem. I'd try to shoot for a professional recommended by a family friend in your area.

Secondly, doing your own research on the internet isn't a bad idea. Not saying starting this thread was a bad idea. It's a start! Searching up the symptoms and possible solutions will be necessary if you want to help your dog.

Where is she scratching and chewing at? Is it her feet? Is it her lower back?

Have you made any recent changes to her food? Has there been any changes.in the household (such as someome moving out, someone moving in, moving, rearranging furniture,.a.lot.of.stress etc?)

When did the itching start? Does it happen seasonally? Is she on a.flea.and tick.preventative? If so what brand and is it topical or.a pill?

What breed of dog is she or breed mix? How often do you bathe her?

I can narrow it down for you.if.you answer these questions,I work with dogs for a living and as a dog groomer thus is something I often get asked.and I have a few answers for after talking yo my vet on how to best answer that question.for clients
