jreidsma 54 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 Hi everyone Just a few quick questions about fanfiction cover art. Which do you all prefer: Digital or Hand drawn cover art for fanfictions? I am trying to dicide what to do for a couple things, I am not completely trusting my drawing capability. Then also which do you all think is nicer, scenery in the cover art, characters, scenery with characters, no characters, or what? Probably over complicating this http://servers.thetillandsiaforums.com/

I am trying to dicide what to do for a couple things, I am not completely trusting my drawing capability. Then also which do you all think is nicer, scenery in the cover art, characters, scenery with characters, no characters, or what? Probably over complicating this Here is my recipe to a good piece of cover art: 1: Make sure the Title is legible and identifiable. Same goes for any extra taglines, by lines, etc. 2: Put something that will capture the reader's attention. The cover of 1984 that I have simply has the number "1984" in the center of a blue eye, slightly off center, and the rest of the cover is white. It is simple, it is stark, and it is powerful. Your cover art should reflect the overall tone and theme of your story. So, really, as long as I can get a basic idea of what the story will be about, then anything goes. But to answer your question, I like scenery with or without characters. 1 oOo RIP Forums Writing Centre ;_; oOo
