Family and friends are important I will not deny that.  However, remember you are your own person.  We all have various traits that differ from others.  Just remember that those who truly care about you shouldn't let your choice in entertainment sour their relationship.  There is nothing wrong with being a Brony.  It isn't a big deal.  It isn't like you are doing drugs or joined a gang or any other seemingly disreputable action.  Just enjoy life and enjoy the company of friends and family.  Being a fan of MLP is not a major life change that you have to admit or anything.  If it does worry you don't bother telling them.  Chances are if you don't make a big deal about it, they won't either.

Hope this helps ya out. :)

Is there something wrong with being an anime fan?

No

There are worse things you could be doing. At least your not into drugs.

Being a fan isn't some life changing thing (although it has been for some, but in a positive way).

Just enjoy life for what it is

Use whatever skills you posses to make you feel bettter.

Do you draw? Make music? Sing? Write?

If you don't but are interested, learn to do so. You will feel better about yourself. You will do something that makes you happy.

If you stop worrying about the future and make time to appreciate the present, then you will be much happier.
