Hiya!

 

I am DJ-GeekBrony!

 

I have been wanting to have a server computer, but I have had no other computers to have it on, or so I thought.

 

I brought out a 2004-6 Dell Laptop (512MB RAM, 1.4GHz CPU) and connected it to the Internet.

 

Turns out I can host a web server and a radio server at the same time!

 

I instantly rejoiced because I can now have free hosting once again, since I have a home server.

 

I put some music on the Hard Drive. I plan on attaching an external Hard Drive so I can store more.

 

I installed Winamp, and Icecast Server, and then I started broadcasting!

 

On the Web Server, I have been setting up a blog and forum for you guys to chat on if your ever bored.

 

I put a link to the Icecast on a widget on WordPress (blog software)

But if you want to access my radio, go to http://www.x86cam.com:8000/stream.ogg or download http://71.195.12.219/playlist.pls and open it with VLC Media Player, iTunes, or other programs that support it.

 

Also, suggest music I should add too, because I need some.

Questions:
-Do you host the radio by your own? (by the means that you are the only one doing the talking'n such)
-What genre do your radio broadcast?

If your site get's popular you would have to upgrade that thing

Well I just started it on my own, so I guess it's just me right now.

The genre is House/Dubstep/Trance/Orchestral/etc. (Whatever brony music you come across that you would like me to add, I will)

Well since I just recently built a new computer, I have a spare one for a server too. 7GB RAM 2.4GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core.
I just need a lot of disk space.

Checking back here. On my birthday, I upgraded the server to what I said I would upgrade to. (8GB RAM, 500GB Hard Drive, and 2.4GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core)

 

Guess what? I've gotten a little more popular. Actually, a lot more. Now I have at least 70 page views a day!

 

I have upgraded the radio station and others. I even have a proper Minecraft server!
