RainbowFlash82 14 May 31, 2013 Share May 31, 2013 In flash (CS6) how do I apply a motion tween to a frame by frame animation without having to move the thing bit by bit every frame. I'm only just new to flash so don't call me an idiot.
Gone for good 1,593 May 31, 2013 Share May 31, 2013 (edited) Motion tweening, eh? You right click the frame you wanna put to a motion tween, and then you select create motion tween and you move it around in the keyframe after that to have it move a bit. Be careful with it, though, as something tweening usually looks pretty cheap and unless you're doing something different with it ala what they do in ponies it might look pretty silly. Also for stuff like this, google is your best friend my friend. Then I converted the cycle to keyframes and removed the tween so I could add a motion tween. And the frames were bang on right next to each-other so it would take me forever to move it bit by bit. And plus I asked how to add a single tween over the entire frame cycle Edited June 1, 2013 by RainbowFlash82

What I can say right now is that you aren't going to be able to tween seperate shapes moving around but you can copy all of those frames that you have, put them into a movie clip, and then just tween the movie clip so that it looks like it's walking Just editing my signature to say that my behavior on here was cringe. Zhooves 843 June 2, 2013 Share June 2, 2013 What I can say right now is that you aren't going to be able to tween seperate shapes moving around but you can copy all of those frames that you have, put them into a movie clip, and then just tween the movie clip so that it looks like it's walking Yeah, simple as that. If you have the animation as you want it, but want it to move in a direction as well, then simply copy all the frames, create a random symbol, go into the symbol and paste them all in there... That way, you'll have an animated symbol that can have a motion-tween on it's own~ So I took this personality-test... And apparently, I'm most like Fluttershy~2015- edit - not too much has changed, but now I'm a wee bit more like Twilight~
RainbowFlash82 14 June 2, 2013 Author Share June 2, 2013 Yeah, simple as that. That way, you'll have an animated symbol that can have a motion-tween on it's own~ I've done that now! But now the animation won't play at all! I mean when I go inside the movie clip all the frames are there and the animation plays just fine. But in the actual timeline of the entire scene it just remains a static image! HEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLP Yeah, simple as that. If you have the animation as you want it, but want it to move in a direction as well, then simply copy all the frames, create a random symbol, go into the symbol and paste them all in there... That way, you'll have an animated symbol that can have a motion-tween on it's own~ Never mind Iv'e already figured it out, you use a graphic not a movie clip, no need to bother replying
