Midnight Dragon 264 June 7, 2013 Share June 7, 2013 I love it when artists put mind-blowing easter eggs on their albums--even if I don't really listen to them. What kinds of easter eggs would you like to see (or see more of if it's been done before). Here are some of mine: Songs that, when played at the same time, become a brand new song. Stuff that can only be heard when played backwards--not just words, but hidden tunes and maybe even hidden song pieces! (There could be a long song where certain parts have a backwards clip, and if you reverse those clips and play them after another they create a hidden song!) Multi-part songs that are found on different albums. (Once you get all of them together and play them in order, you get a very long ballad ) Stuff you can only hear if you speed up or slow down the song. (There have been messages hidden this way before--wouldn't hidden vocals be cool?) Frequencies that sound like they're just cool sound effects, but actually create an image when using the right software. This has been done before, but I think it's still pretty cool. What about you? (By the way, I like to write lyrics and such, so if I ever start a band then maybe your ideas will pop up on an album! xD) http://youtube.com/user/AuroraKnuxhttp://visigoth101.deviantart.comhttp://auroraknux.tumblr.com
Le Kvlt Dawn 2,368 June 7, 2013 Share June 7, 2013 Make the album covers puzzle pieces. A hidden track, like what Nirvana and Tool did. But this idea is dead because of MP3s and what not.

First one: That's an awesome idea! Second: I don't think it's dead...you just have to hide it more cleverly. (I had a couple of examples above...) Also, on some albums I have if you wait long enough you hear an extra track...if I'm just listening absent-mindedly and not paying attention, it can really startle me the first time http://youtube.com/user/AuroraKnuxhttp://visigoth101.deviantart.comhttp://auroraknux.tumblr.com

Tool put a bunch of silent very short songs, so the hidden track was track 69 in the CD.
Dark Moon 966 June 7, 2013 Share June 7, 2013 (edited) Pink Floyd had one hidden message that could only be heard if played backwards, it was on the song Empty Spaces off of the album The Wall. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=cLu__NNxX_g "Hello, hunters. Congratulations. You've just discovered the secret message. Please send your answer to Old Pink, care of the funny farm, Chalfont." "Roger! Carolyne is on the phone!" "Ok" Also hid a message on Great Gig in the Sky off of Dark Side of the Moon. Can only be heard if volume is way up and is at 3:33 seconds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=v_lqJLb0H_o "If you can hear this whisper, you are dying."
