Nature's Spell 526 July 29, 2013 Share July 29, 2013 (edited) I've been thinking about EQ and it's connection to the series. I know it's not supposed to be cannon, but it brings up a bunch of themes that will surely find their way into the series. We also see how Meghan deals with (thinks about) these issues. A few examples: *Twilight being apprehensive about being a good leader. *Twilight being unsure about ruling a kingdom, *Twilights discomfort with her wings and flying. *Twilights eventual acceptance of being a princess and that she will be a good leader. *The importantnce of Twilight's element. *Replaying or reusing how Twilight meet her friends. Many of the EQ scenes were remiensent of episode 1. * Just the fact that EQ was very faithful to the characters and their personalities. The movie really was a lot like episode one. My feeling is that EQ isn't cannon only in as much as it won't specificly be referenced as occurring, but it is cannon in that it deals with issues the show will also likely deal with too. Until we see how the show deals with these topics I think it can be referenced as books and other media are. People seem concerned that it will be cannon, but it seems far more faithful to the show than many fanfics or other media. Thoughts?
