DragonDan2453 2 August 4, 2013 Share August 4, 2013 Alexei A black dragon that terrorized Equestria during the Dark Ages 10,000 years ago. After learning the Hexagon Seal Formation, Nova and the Elemental Warriors were able to seal Alexei and turn him into a stone statue. Flareon is tricked by Discord into unlocking the seal on Alexei's statue which results in Alexei coming back to life. Alexei is able to create and command dragons made out of shadows. He is also the creator of Dark Flareon. Alexei is eventually defeat by Flareon. Before Alexei was defeated, he left a part of himself behind that would one day be activated, and would attempt to engulf Equestria in total darkness, but his plan was eventually foiled by Twilight. Van A black dragon that lived during the Dark Ages 10,000 years ago in Equestria. Van is also Alexei's younger brother. During the Dark Ages, Van and Alexei argued as to who would take over Equestria after they conquered it. Van and Alexei ended up fighting each other in a battle which resulted in Alexei's victory. After Alexei defeated Van, he sealed him away in the form of a ball of stone and buried him underground. After Alexei was defeated by Flareon, the seal on Van started to weaken to the point where he was able to break free. Van then attempted to finish what his brother started and attempted to conqueror Equestria. Van is eventually defeated by Summer and the other new users of the Elements of Harmony. While he isn't as strong as Alexei and isn't able to summon as many shadow dragons, Van is better at absorbing energy than Alexei, and unlike Alexei who can only use the energy he absorbs for health regeneration, Van is able to shoot it in the form of a burst of energy from his hands as an offensive attack in addition to using it to heal himself. Discord A dragon combined with different animal parts. Princess Celestia explains that Discord ruled over Equestria along with Alexei during the Dark Ages 10,000 years ago, until the Elemental Warriors used the Hexagon Seal Formation to imprison him in stone, but because the seal preformed was imperfect, Discord was eventually able to break free. Discord manages to trick Flareon into unlocking the seal on Alexei's statue. Discord is seen constantly attempting to cause chaos for Flareon, Twilight, and the others. Twilight and the others were able to seal Discord once again after performing the Hexagon Seal Formation using the Elements of Harmony. The word discord means "a lack of harmony" or "a disagreement". Draco A black 3-headed dragon that has 3 personalities. Draco is the most powerful dragon in Alexei's army. The middle head is the leader of the 3 heads and the serious one. The left head is the dumb one and is slow to pick up on things. The right head is the sarcastic one and likes to makes jokes. Draco is Alexei's strongest and most powerful dragon in his army. In the past, even the Elemental Warriors had a hard time dealing with Draco. Flareon is faced against Draco when Alexei sends him to destroy Ponyville which marks Flareon's final challenge from Alexei. Flareon is eventually able to defeat Draco after obtaining his final power called "Flame God Mode". Grim A black skeleton-like dragon that Alexei created that has the ability to regenerate parts of his body at will after receiving a small amounts of damage. Grim ponynapped Twilight during her date with Flareon and held her for ransom. Flareon eventually is able to defeat Grim with a Fire Shuriken after his previous attacks weren't powerful enough to defeat him. Maximus A young, black dragon that can multiply and create 100 clones of himself. He is also the lowest ranking member of the Ferocious Five. Since Maximus is a teenager, he is very hotheaded and cocky, and charges into situations without thinking. After being resurrected by Alexei, he is ordered to attack Ponyville, and is faced against Flareon in a battle which marks Flareon's 2nd challenge from Alexei. Maximus is eventually defeated by Flareon's Fire Tornado. Necro A black dragon that is an expert magician and illusionist. Necro is the most powerful dragon in Van's army. Necro is able to preform all types of magic tricks and illusions to completely fool his opponents. Necro is eventually caught off guard and sealed by Summer and the others after they preformed a magic trick that completely baffled him. Koga A black dragon that is a master ninja who is one with the shadows. Koga is very fast and agile and is able to create and throw shadow kunai. He can also move fast enough to create multiple copies of himself to confuse him enemies. After Koga gets caught in a molasses trap, he is sealed Summer and the others. This marked the 2nd challenge by Van to test Summer and the others. Beatrix A black, female dragon that has the power to seduce males. Beatrix is the lowest ranking member in Van's Army. Beatrix uses a colorless perfume to put males under her spell and can order them to fight for her. After Summer and the others figure out the trick to Beatrix's ability, they are able to counter it and defeat her by using the Hexagon Seal formation. Dark Flareon A black and red fire element alicorn that was created by Alexei. Dark Flareon is Flareon's dark side. In the future, it is shown that Dark Flareon defeated Flareon and absorbed him. After Dark Flareon absorbed Alexei, he became Destro. Dark Flareon is eventually defeated by Flareon. Destro A black alicorn pony that possesses Flareon's and Alexei's power after he absorbed both of them. Destro and his army of shadow dragons fought against Twilight and the Rebel Alliance during the "Dark Ages II" in the future which was shown by Future Twilight during a flashback. Bora A light blue pegasus that has the ability to charm females. Bora is one of the most wanted criminals in Equestria who goes to each town and robes everyone of their most precious valuables and sell them for a prophet. Eventually Bora is caught in the act by Flareon and sent to Prison Island. When Flareon is falsely accused for a crime he didn't commit, Flareon is sent to Prison Island where he is put in the same cell as Bora. Bora teams up with Flareon to help him escape Prison Island. James and Jessica Two shape-shifting unicorn twins who are followers of Alexei. They attempted to assassinate Princess Celestia during the annual royal gathering of princes and princesses in Canterlot. Their ultimate attack is an unison raid called Dark Twin Beam. James and Jessica were eventually defeated by Flareon and Twilight. Trixie An azure unicorn pony and traveling magician. Trixie tends to speak in the third person and refers to herself as "The Great and Powerful Trixie". Trixie attempts to get her revenge once again after being thwarted by Twilight twice, but this time she sets her sights on Flareon. After getting Flareon alone with her, Trixie activates a green amulet around her neck called the Amulet of Amnesia which absorbs Flareon's memory giving him amnesia. Trixie then attempts to use Flareon to take over Canterlot, but she is eventually defeated by Twilight. Later on Trixie returns, but this time she finally apologizes for all the wrongdoing she had done which results in everyone forgiving her. The name Trixie is a diminutive form of Beatrix. Zeo A husky dark red earth pony with tribal tattoos that is the "Surfing King" of Seashell Beach. Zeo would knock anyone off their surfboard if they attempted to surf on his beach. After Zeo gets defeated by Flareon during a surfing challenge, he asks Flareon if he could become his apprentice. After a change in attitude, Zeo hosts surfing lessons to teach beginners how to surf. Blue Thunder A blue pegasus with white lightning-shaped markings. Blue Thunder was once the most famous racer in the Equestria 500, but he was betrayed by his teammates who framed him and unfortunately Blue Thunder was banned from racing in the Equestria 500 forever. Blue Thunder faked being in love with Rainbow Dash and took advantage of her love for him. Blue Thunder ponynapped Rainbow Dash and was planning on handing her over to Alexei in order to obtain ultimate power, which he was going to use to get revenge on his former teammates. After he was defeated by Flareon, Rainbow Dash decided to show mercy and let Blue Thunder escape. Black Thunder A black pegasus with white lightning-shaped markings. Black Thunder is Blue Thunder's corrupted form. After putting on the Crown of Power, which he received from Alexei, Blue Thunder changed into Black Thunder whose speed and strength was boosted. Black Thunder could also summon lightning from storm clouds. King Sombra A male unicorn that took over the Crystal Empire 1,000 years ago, but was banished into the frozen north. Sombra put a curse on the Crystal Empire which made it vanish into thin air. When the Empire returned, so did King Sombra, who attempted to retake it. He is defeated by the Crystal Ponies' use of the Crystal Heart. Van is able to resurrect King Sombra using Sombra's horn that was left over after he was destroyed. After Van brought King Sombra back to life, he infused Sombra with his power to make King Sombra even more stronger than he was before. With the help of Flareon and the others, Summer and the others were able to successfully seal him. Queen Chrysalis The queen of the changelings. She is a shapeshifter who appears as Princess Cadance and takes her place in order to invade Canterlot by rendering her fiancé, Shining Armor, unable to perform his protection spell over the city by weakening him with her magic. Queen Chrysalis's plan was thwarted by Twilight. Van found Queen Chrysalis and was able to convince her to join him. Van gave Chrysalis a small portion of his power to make her more powerful.
