Blast began to look around for a bit and he spotted a few reserves out in the open. "Please. These ponies don't even have a quarter of a brain." He continued to keep watch and spotted some of the enemy. "I think you should take out those ponies on the south-west."

Peppermint focused on them "We'll see how the talks go, less chance we'll piss off Romula"

Romula approached the bald pony, who stood out from the group as the leader.

"You want my attention?" Romula said "Here I am. How can I help?"

 

The leader laughed boisterously "Isn't it obvious?" He glared coldly at Romula "Little pig, little pig. Let me in"

 

A red laser dot appeared on Romula's chest.

"Okay, let's take them out" Peppermint steadied his hoof on the trigger "I assume the red laser dot is coming from a sniper rifle. If you can point out which pony is using it, I can take him out, giving Romula time to get to cover"

 

((OOC: Going to bed now. Thought this scene would be pretty good to leave it. With the tension and all))

Blast looked around quickly and spotted him without too much of a problem. "There's the guy. Pony to the south-east." Peppermint shot down the pony silently. Blast really wished he was down there fighting those guys instead of up here, though. It's been a while since he had a good tussle.

*BANG!*

 

Romula looked at her chest, the red dot was gone. She looked back up to the leader and grinned.

"It looks like my sniper found yours"

 

The enemy leader gritted his teeth, he reached for his gun.

"You son of a-"

 

His head suddenly shot back and a trail of blood squirted from it. He slumped over forwards, dead. Romula quickly sprinted to the nearest cover and a firefight ensued between the two parties.

Peppermint cocked his rifle and took aim again.

"We got a runner" He said, pointed over to a yellow pony running away from the firefight "He's all yours, Blast"

"Got it!" Blast jumped off of the tower, landed on the ground softly, and began to pursue to yellow pony. He caught up to him in no time at all and kicked him in the back, sending him to the ground. While he was lying there, the scarlet stallion ran up and snapped both of his hind legs. He then ran back up to the tower. "He's not going anywhere."

"Good job on keeping him alive" Peppermint pointed at the now dead group of enemy ponies "He'll be suitable for interrogation"

"I tried talking to him, but he's not co-operating" Romula said "This is where you two come in"

 

In one of the shacks, the yellow Pegasus was tried down to a seat. His hind legs bandaged and put in splints. Peppermint, Blast and Romula stood before him.

 

"The Marines aren't back yet and the majority of Security are disposing of the bodies and calming the civilians down. I need you two to get information from him" She left a datapad on a nearby desk "I'll be outside, helping Security"

 

As soon as she left, Peppermint turned to Blast "Do you want to be good cop or bad cop?"

"Good cop." Blast went to the chair and sat across from the pegasus. He gave Blast an ugly look. "Happy to see you too, buddy." Blast sarcastically said. "You better come clean with us, pegasus. If you don't, we'll be forced to resort to drastic measures of punishment."

Peppermint pulled out his pistol

 

"Very drastic" He added coldly

 

The yellow pony looked at Peppermint, then back at Blast. He spat at them.

"Do your worst" He goaded "You think I'm stupid? You'll just kill me after I spill the beans. I might as well tell ya nothing!"

Blast whipped the spit off of his face. "Very well." Blast got up and pulled one of the pegasus' front legs behind the chair. He snapped that one leg and proceeded back to his chair. The yellow pony began to suffer in agony. "Now, if you don't want all of your legs broken, I suggest you start talking."

The yellow pony yelped in pain. He clenched his eyes tight, tears coming from them. It appeared as if he was going to cry. Then he started to laugh violently.

 

"You're a coward!" He screamed "If I wasn't like this, I'd kick your ass!"

He grunted from the sheer pain he was currently in, but continued "But I won't kill you! No. I'd break you until you're an inch away from death, then I'd leave you for dead in the desert! And don't think I'm making this up boy! I already did this to some bitch of a mare less then a few hours ago! Back at that damn crash site!'

Blast just snickered. "Yeah, I bet you'd try." But, suddenly, something hit Blast. He left a mare to die out in the desert? It couldn't be... oh sweet Celestia, no. It couldn't be Mrs.Sunshine, could it? "You mentioned something about a mare. Tell me her name. Don't lie about it either. If you do, I won't just break your last leg. I'll make sure you never walk or fly again."

Peppermint raised an eyebrow, his thoughts were similar to Blast in thinking that Mrs. Sunshine could still be alive.

 

"I ain't telling you a thing!" The pony hissed "You want info, you better earn it, asshole! How do I know you won't kill me when I tell you what her name is?"

Blast leaned up to the pony. "Because I do don't kill anypony, not even assholes like you who deserve it. I've built up my reputation because whenever I defeat evil, I give them the chance to rethink their ways. Give them a chance to start over." Blast laid back in his chair. "If you tell me who it was, I promise I won't kill you. I swear on my heroic honor."

"Only fools believe in honour" He sputtered "But you look dumb enough..."

The pony opposed such naïve beliefs, yet Blast seemed convincing in keeping to his promise.

 

"The bitch's name is Talia Sunshine. My group attacked hers back at the crash site. She was the only female there, so obviously the boys had some fun. Before I could get a chance however, we got attacked by some of the wildlife and had to run... She's still alive out there somewhere, but I doubt she'd last long without food"

Blast fell back in his chair. She was alive! Only question is where. He quickly got out of his chair and turned to Peppermint. "Peppermint, wrap this up. I need to find her before she starves to death in the desert." Blast got ready to run out of the room. He had to hurry.

"Wait, orders are to-" Peppermint was too late, Blast had already left him "Dammit"

 

He turned to the pony strapped to the chair.

"Right, lets get that leg fixed"

 

"Screw you" The yellow pony spat

 

Peppermint punched the pony in the head and knocked him out.

"Poor choice of words"

Blast ran as fast as he could through the desert, making sure he checked every inch of the sandy terrain. He then saw a mare laying on the sand. She looked like she was badly injured. Blast ran down to her and opened his canteen. He then poured the water down the mare's throat. "C'mon, Sunshine. Wake up. I won't hurt you."

The lime green unicorn just murmured softly. Barely conscious, she tried indicating to her leg. It was badly wounded and dirty.

 

She suddenly went limp. Still breathing yet very weakly. The last few days had been so horrible and exhausting to her, she was near the verge of death.

"Just stay with me for a little longer. I'm going to take you back to base and get you some help." Blast put the mare on his back and ran back to the base as fast as he possibly could. He got back to the base thirty seconds later and went to Romula. "We need first aid. Now. I have Mrs. Sunshine. She needs help pronto."

"Another one? Oh Celestia..." Romula quickly takes the injured mare and carries her over the medical shack

 

Violet and Madrid come running up.

 

"I heard the news! My mother is out in the desert somewhere!" Violet looked over at Romula "There she is! Is she okay? What happened?"

Blast sighed. "No, she isn't okay. She was beaten to a pulp and left for dead in the middle of the desert. It's pure luck that I found her when I did. If we don't get her help ASAP, she'll die." Blast then walked to a bench, sat down, and took in a deep breath. "Well, at least she's here and being treated."

"Oh this horrible world!" Violet yelled at no-one in particular "If I ever get my hooves on that damn pony who made us crash here..."

 

As Violet started ranting, Madrid walked over to Blast "She's just venting her anger"

Blast sat back in the bench. "I noticed." Deep down, Blast was scared. He just found their mom, and she's on the edge of death. "I can't believe how close that was..."

Madrid sat down next to Blast and gave him a reassuring pat on the back.

 

"You don't need to worry" Madrid said "Mum will probably die anyways"

 

Violet snapped her to Madrid, horrified at what she just said.

 

"It's true!" She defended herself "What's the point in worrying when we're all going to die anyways?"

Blast lowered his head and had a mad look in his eyes, "No. We're not going to die. Not here." Blast stood up and looked across from the mares. "We can't give up hope of escape. We'll keep going until we've found a way off of this rock. But, if we want to get out of here, we must all work together."
