That Strike of the Night

[Bat Flare 3]

                                                                     Prologue 

 

 He felt the needles grip his beautiful feathered wings and rip them all off. His wings fill with an odd skin and his eyes narrow to slits. Why is his coat changing to scales?

    The shock of it all forces his eyes open. Which causes more pain. They shut once again. But something forces them open. A light flashes and he is blinded for a bit before he feels his chest have a darkness fill it. A coldness as well, a coldness that would wipe out all of Equestria. 

    He regains the right to be able to see again.  Fearfully, his head turns and he gasps at his wings. They look as if they had been replaced by a dragon's. And instead of feeling warm, he feels cold for his coat is now scales. 

    "What has happened to me?" He asks aloud. 

    "Well of course I've given what you disiered. To be eternal," A deep voice replies. "Isn't that what you wanted King Night Blade?"

     Night Blade turns slowly and painfully. He sees a huge stallion with a long dragon like tail. "Who are you and what have you done with me?" his eyes glow angirly. 

     "Ponies call me Dread Claw," the stallion replies. "But my real name is Cheenlai."

      Cheenlai starts to glow. His hooves change to paws with long curving talons. The plant chewing teeth turn to bone crushing fangs. His Pegasus wings change also to the dragon wings but with long spines on the sides. His coat grows longer and sharper his tail grows thinnier and grows sharp spines. Four of her fangs grow longer then the others and stick out. His eyes open to be cat like.

      "Y-your Dread Claw? But I thought you were just an old mare's tail. And, what are you?" Night Blade asks fearfully. 

       "Like I said, my name is Cheenlai. But I am what you might call, a Catzilla." Cheenlai's grimace changes to a wide grin. "I grant one wish to each pony and gave you your wish to be internal."

        Night Blade starts to run. He heard only a little about the Catzilla's, but when ever he did. He gave a shiver at the thought. "You may run, but let me assure you. The spell catch you soon enough," Cheenlai calls.
