Hello there,

My name is Lightning Twister and I'm often shy. 

My favorite colors are red and darkblue, and like to watch the show MLP. 

 

Well, at least if I can... It's always on TV once a day when I'm on school. 

I'm finally glad that I can join the forums here. Just a fine place.

Ok, but besides that I'm not sure about my name on this forum.

My name "Lightning Twister" was taken from a name generator and where I chose a name as a Pegasus.

 

So, my big question is:

 

What should my name be?

 

I'm not sure how anypony is going to reply but please don't use any rude or bad words.

 

I also don't know if I should "create" my own personality based on real life stuff or just how I would look like in the pony-world. Please say it if I typed or spelled anything wrong, however I'm not a English guy etc.

 

This is my personality in real life:

-Favorite color: Red and Dark-blue

-Often shy

-I usually say "Hi!" towards my friends

-My favorite sports: Skateboarding and Hockey (don't know for sure if this is typed right in English)

-I can keep secrets as secrets and not telling it to anyone

-I'm afraid of heights.

-I'm a average talkative pony.

 

-And I don't have a nickname on school yet. My classmates works with nicknames.

 

 

Ok, so now I wrote a list of things in real life I also got to say that I'm thinking of this name to use on the forums:

Rainbow Shy

 

I know this could be a bit weird but in real life I got plenty of energy each day, and I'm often in a good mood.

 

Note: I've chosen this name already for my twitter account.

I think this one should be better, because "Lightning Twister" sounds a bit to powerful to me.

 

Anyway I would like to hear some advice, and what name I should use and it also decides my nickname on school.

Ok, I understand. I'm not sure about my nickname now. What should I choose now?

How does it sounds when I ask someone in real life to call me RainbowShy? How would they react?

I made already a MLP shirt with my real name on it and a cutie mark from Rainbow Dash, and all the time many people are looking at me and say "Did you made that by yourself, cool!". I got 6 people who really liked it.

 

But here's some stuff I do in real life:

-Mostly of my age (I'm 15) are gaming, but I don't. Not often to say this right. I'm a programmer and working on a very large game project for more then 2 years still not complete!

-I like playing songs on the piano, such as "Rainbow Factory" and "Babs Seed". I'm still trying to learn the whole song (Babs Seed) with a good classmate/friend of mine. I started to tell my secret that I actually like MLP, but he doesn't have any problems with that. I told him to search only this song and no other MLP songs. But yes, ofcouse he searched for other songs and told me he liked it and was getting in a good mood.

He and I are really good friends now and respect both our own secrets.

 

-I work real hard, and do my best on school for tests etc.

-On every Wednesday I've got a small job and when I come home, I'm still busy with my homework to about Eleven o clock in the night!

 Some people think it's not true and crazy, but I really do this! I'm not stopping until everything is done.

Maybe you don't care but having a twitter-account on my school makes you a bit cooler, however I'm not doing much on it.

Welcome to the forums Lightning Twister. Don't worry, I don't think anyone will use crossed words with you here.

 

Alright now, take a seat with yer big bro and let's talk this over shall we?

 

Normally nicknames are chosen for you instead of the other way around, is there not something that your friends already call you? My nickname "Big Brother" or "Aniki" was given to me in school, and I have a real big brother complex so it fit me perfectly. Now Aniki might as well be my real name because practically everyone I know calls me by it.

 

But if you really want to choose a nickname for yourself, then just ask yourself: Out of all the things you love or believe in, what is the one that holds the most weight in your heart? The most defining aspect of your being? A characteristic that marks you as an individual? I've always believed your "nickname" or "OC" should really reflect something that embodies you as a person. You just have to answer; what makes you, you? And if you aren't comfortable with someone calling you by your nickname... then it's probably not the one for you.

 

Maybe I put way too much consideration into things, but that's just the kind of person I am.

Okay, I see what you mean to me. However I'm still not sure about it... Well, maybe you think I take all this stuff too serious but no. I just like it. When I did my pony-personality test, and this was the result: http://www.bronyland.com/images/quiz/banner_applejack.jpg

I filled the tests with answers based on real life facts, or do I have to be myself on the forums?

So, the point is: I would like to know what sounds the best as nickname on school and also as forum name account.

On school they call me "m..." I don't know where they get that, but it's sometimes a bit annoying, like "Hey guys, it's m...".

 

When completing the test I was in a direction of Rainbow Dash and Applejack.

Any name is fine, it does not matter what your name is, just what you are like as a person

p.s. you do not need to worry about people using bad language here, everypony is really nice and welcoming here, I'm sure you'll fit in just fine.
