Actually, I have a friend who is 16 who is coming over the border to come to the convention as well. He's coming over in the train. The deal with that is, you have someone ride with you over the border and then you can come home on your own. If you know anyone on this side of the border who is going, try bunking in a room with them since getting a hotel room can be tricky. I think some hotels will let your parents reserve the room, and give you a note of consent saying that they sent you and you have their permission to stay in that hotel room by yourself. It wouldn't hurt to call and ask around!

 

I myself just turned 18. It's going to be a little messy since this is pretty much my first time going anywhere on my own without someone at least there to drive me about and hold the room with me. Its a little overwhelming but exciting none the less. :3

Hey, I'm 27 and this will be the first time I've ever gone on a vacation somewhere unfamiliar, totally unescorted. That alone would make anypony a bit nervous. Tell you what, though, my unbridled excitement pretty much buries any nervousness I might be experiencing!

Yea, exactly what you said there is currently holding me from going. I still really want to go and I am going to see if I can find some way to.. but currently it looks a bit bleak.(I went and got everything handed in to get a passport today.. so at least I'll have everything I would need if I manage to find someone to tag along with)

 

And in general, thankyou for all the suppor everypony, hopefully I'll manage to find a way to get over that damned border and get a hotel room. I also hope all of you have fun at the con.

 

EditP(like five min after the post at that..) I might actully have found someone who will let me tag along and solve both of those problems.. so much joy. Now I just hope this won't be false hope..
