Weapons and Armor Design

I've been thinking about designs for weapons and armor lately. Specifically on bionic suits similar to Iron mans only I have this idea for a suit that has a simple frame, with overlapping armor that acts like muscle and skin. Only they're made from or of nanobots or something so it can behave like real muscle out in the field. This could be useful for increasing your body's physical abilities immensely. Have any of you ever had any ideas on weapons or armor for practical use? If so, please give description and purpose of it. If you feel like sharing a photo, awesome. They can be for people or ponies or anything else.
