Fandubs--voice removal advice?

Okay, I want to do some fandubs, but I can't remove the voices without completely muting it--and having no sound at all just feels lazy I guess.

I could try another method I know of, but it would badly distort the sound...-_-

 

Any advice?

Or you could just mute the whole thing and add your own music and sound effects. That would certainly be easier, I feel.
