What price fanworks?

If you had to value all of the creative works that this fandom has come up with for the show as a whole, what kind of price figure would you end up with?

Please answer in either USD, GDP or Euro currency; I'm sure most of us would not like to have an Exchange Rate site open to convert all our answers to something we can comprehend. :)

It depends on the work in question, there is a lot of good stuff out there that could be worth a lot but there is also the matter of personal taste. There are a lot of people that don't like Cupcakes for example but I think it is hilarious though with how infamous it is it would probably fetch a fairly high price. I think My Little Dashie is decent but overrated but since it is so liked and famous it would also fetch a decent price. But fame dosen't always equal quality, because of the sheer volume of stuff I am sure there is a lot of great things that haven't been recognized.

Your topic is a bit confusing, I thought you were asking something along the lines of commission works  :P

It'll vary greatly on individual works but if I were to put a price tag on the collective whole of what's been produced due to the fandom, I'd have to say hundreds of thousands of dollars (possibly millions!) To me though, putting a price tag on something a fan has produced for the sake of FiM and themselves seems to 'cheapen' what truly makes their creation unique. But non the less, those whom dedicate themselves to something for the sake of a fandom should be compensated for their hard work!

If you do not GO after what you want, you'll never have it. If you do not ASK, the answer will always be NO.

If you do not step froward, you'll always be in the same place.
