Hi everypony! I can't tell you how happy I am to be here! Although there are a few ponies on the website I usually go to, it's not a strong community. I'm very excited to meet and get to know everypony here!

 

Well I guess first things, first, I should introduce myself!

 

You can call me Midnight or Glimmer, or MG, whatever is easiest and most comfortable for you! I also go by Alice, although this is not my born name but one I've gotten used to being called, since my mane name on other forums is AliceinZombieland. Anyways, I'm a 25 year old Pegasister, although I'm fine being called a Brony just the same, but most of all I'd love to be called a friend!

 

I got into MLP because my friend is a brony and while he never raved outwardly about the show, I knew it was something he really loved. And obviously I have the internet so I'd seen the crazy amount of popularity it was getting from the most unexpected places. There were a lot of mixed responses and even I, at first, was bewildered at why "grown men would love a kid's show like this". I was ignorant, yes, I will admit it. But I wanted to understand, so when MLP:FIM showed up on Netflix, I had to give it a try, to see what all the fuss is about. And I just can't explain it. I watched one episode. Then another. Then another. Before I knew it, it was three in the morning and I had no idea where the time had gone. Something about it was just...captivating. I can't even pinpoint what it is that makes me love the show so much, if it's the depth of the characters, the writing, the art, or just a quality of innocence and cheer that keeps me hooked, but there you have it. I "get it" even if I can't "explain it". And now I know why some people find it so hard to explain it. But that's alright, because if you love something, just love it and don't worry if other people understand! Wanting to understand was what got me into MLP, so I'm glad it wasn't something my friend could put into words. It made me find out for myself and discover my own love for it.

Anyways, you already knew I was a Brony, so let me tell you some other things I love! I love art. I really, truly, deeply love art, and getting pony art is my favorite thing right now! I recently got a piece done by a favorite artist of mine of my OC, Midnight Glimmer, that I am just in LOVE with. I can't wait to show you all!

 

I also like music, and watching people dance, even if I'm terrible at it (Four left hooves, go figure!) and writing and really any form of expression. Being able to share myself with people and see other people share themselves is a beautiful, precious thing to me. Oh, and I love to sing! It's really a singular feeling; if I couldn't sing I don't know what I'd do.

 

I really like trying new things, especially if they are social! I'm a very social person, which is funny, because ten years ago I wasn't. But people change in the most amazing ways.

 

Ten years ago, I would have been able to use the phrase, "When I grow up" but nowadays I'm afraid I've come to the realization that at no point will I stop growing up. I will always be growing, so now I say, "Someday, I'd like to be a psychologist". Helping others, especially with emotional and mental obstacles, is very important to me and I find my greatest gift I can give is my time, an ear to listen, and some advice to try and help others. I want to be a support and a guide to people who find the way hard to find. I want to help people discover their own paths to themselves, to understand themselves and how they can best achieve the life they want. I want to help unlock the true and full potential in everyone.

 

But look at me, gone and rambled like I always do! It's a true pleasure to be here, let me just end with that, and a request that you all stop in, say hi, and let me know about yourselves! I'd really love to meet you all!

I understand completely what you mean about the whole 'trying to explain it' business, that's one thing I could never do.

Mine is probably sonic rainboom, although to be fair, I also like some of the season 4 episodes, but if you haven't seen them, I dont want to spoil anything

Oh no, please don't! I'm still catching up to be honest. I don't know when Season 4 will be available on Netflix, which is the only place I can watch right now. Such a sad pony, but that's okay. I still have plenty of episodes to catch up on!

It's definitely worth watching if you love mlp, which I'm sure you do, considering you are on the forums

Btw, have you tried YouTube? Every episode is there in HD, so if Netflix hasn't got them, YouTube will.

I'll have to look them up when I get caught up! Thank you! Now I'll know where to go when I run out of delicious MLP episodes! ^-^ By the way, do you know if the rules are listed anywhere else? I tried to read them but they cut off before they even got into the rules either by some error with the site or with my computer. I just don't want to accidentally break a rule without knowing. I operate by a pretty good code of conduct that should help me avoid most of the big points but I know some websites, especially fandom websites, can have more particular or specific rules to keep things on topic and such. One website I go to forbids the discussion of certain dolls (It's a BJD website) because they are not on their "approved" list.

I dont know where to find them anywhere else, but they are pretty straight forward:

-write spoiler before any post that has spoilers in it

-don't post any inappropriate pony pics (some do)

-be nice

Apart from that it's all just fun games and ponies
