At 3:15 AM, Adams woke me with a loud knock on my front door.

"Put your boots on," he said when I answered. "There's a biblical monster in my house."

In the first rays of the Sun on the eve of Her Ascension, I killed an Angel of the Sun in fear.  And though the Sun gave to me forgiveness, I could not forgive myself.  Glory be unto God and may eternal rest forever be Hers.  Amen.

The basic story is Twilight Sparkle finds herself in the human world and... well lets just say the two she speaks to gets the wrong ideas. With fear and uncertainty leading to unhappy results.

I also don't find what happens unreasonable, I don't think our world is ready for a race like Equestrian ponies.

Governments, science, and religion may react differently but most likely whatever the reaction might be it wouldn't be positive and may even be violent. That and mankind have become too cynical, too untrusting to accept something new with open arms and a new race appearing that says they have the means for creating a 1000 year peace... many would refuse to believe it or suspect the worst. Admittingly when things really started going down hill was when one of the humans was not honest that we kill each other during war and battle, leading Twilight to say that which suggested they would come and take over making things better... having it sound like an invasion.

 

A misunderstanding  that leads to the ending.
