I don't think I will ever get into past My Little Pony generations. I've been posting a lot about topics discussing "judging a book by its cover". But honestly I'm just not suited to watch the older generations. I never cared for the Care Bears movies as a kid. And seeing as the older gens kinda focus on TRUE young audiences and topics I don't see myself ever enjoying. I personally really don't like the toys that they sell for all of the generations... even FiM... where they look absolutely nothing like the ponies from the show and look like some generic brush'em pony. Where.... oh where can I find me some actual figures that look spot on to the show? Please point me into the right direction. I really just want the mane 6 for now. Gotta start somewhere.

Recently I was bored and I decided to try watching some of those older generations. I started from G1. I was hoping that it was at least decent for little kids. But what I found? I can only say that I've never seen so dumb cartoon in my life o_O Especially the human characters (yes, there were humans in G1): they act so much retarded that I can actually feel my brain cells committing mass suicide when watching it  The plots are very repetitive (if there are any at all). The animation is poor. The music & songs are lame and embarrassing. The characters are irritating and random. The voice acting is terrible. I really had hard time finding something interesting there.

Actually I found several little pieces of ideas which could be useful, plot-wise. But I won't tell you to avoid spoiling.

Nevertheless, after watching several episodes (more than 10), I can tell that it's not much worth watching.

I'll check if it gets better with later episodes, but my predictions are that it won't.

Edit: Interestingly, G1 MLP was way more darker in mood than G4 :P With horrid mutant beasts, evil witches, sadistic bees... and a scene with a guillotine! Can you believe? Those little girls were hardcore back then... :P

When lightening the mood is getting off topic then something's wrong. But alright I guess... *curses the squee hater for being so serious*

Bringing it back on topic, I found this:

I recently bought some Beany Baby MLP figures that are really well made and quite show-accurate. The show-accuracy isn't 100% perfect, but for their price (which was only 8 dollars each at the store I bought them at, I don't know how expensive they'll be at a different store), they are pretty good, and I'd definitely recommend them.
