I don't mind Flash Sentry in this. But I'm also glad they didn't develop the ship a bit more, given that Equestria Girls is a totally different dimension.

 

You see, I'm a shipper who doesn't want to see their ship become reality, because it ruins the fun in imagining lots of stories. That said, I still think Twilight and Flash can become a cute couple if Flash's character were developed more. At this point, I'm happy if Flash remains as such without fanfare.

I'm actually surprised that I have seen no mention of Flash Sentry's recent appearance in the Season 4 finale. I remember how huge of a deal it was when he appeared outside of EQG in Three's a Crowd,
