Within the confines of a classified facility, two scientists walked down a long hallway. "Is the new subject ready for testing?" One asked.

 

The scientist's associate nodded, and glanced at a chart that had all sorts of fancy and extremely complicated statistics on it. "He should be good to go. His power has been increasing splendidly, but I'm not sure about the others." He said.

 

The first scientist nodded. "I'll open Tempest's door to the arena. Make sure the others are ready." With that, the scientist turned down a hallway, and headed for a control panel, as the other walked up a staircase to a viewing platform.

 

Gale sighed, as she looked out the bars to her cell. She had been experimented on her entire life, and felt strange. "I hope he's ok." She said, glancing at the unconscious form of a man with black hair that had been thrown in a adjacent cell. "I wonder what they did to him."

 

At that point, the man woke with a start, and sat straight up. He looked around, and his eyes meet Gale's for a second. The man stood up, and sighed. "I might as well make a few friends." He thought, as he walked to the wall between his and Gale's cell. "My name's Tempest. What may I call you?"

 

The young woman smiled nervously, and nodded. "My name is Gale." She said. "Others like us are here, but we'll have to wait for the lights to turn on." She said.
