I should introduce my character here.

Their name is Sky. They are a unicorn with mechanical wings they built.

When they were young, Sky wanted to have the talent of making machines and what not. He made his wings but couldn't make them work, so he

just enchanted them to make them work (Flying, Standing on Clouds, Etc.)

It later turned out their real talent was in music. Their cutie mark is a stormcloud with a stack of two subwoofers on it, but it's usually hidden by the outfit he wears often.

Their horn was broken in a freak accident. He refuse to tell the details but he says it involved a bass cannon misfire.

Nice. But I think you should give it a GENDER. It should be "he" or "she" . And I feel that, although it is a good backstory,  them having made wings itself is a bit of an excuse for it being a alicorn. Then again, it's now technically a Pegasus now that it can't use it's horn. Soo, I guess I can't call it an "out of canon" alicorn, since it works.

Meh, I guess that having mechanical wings kinda counts as Alicorn, but i'll let it slide since his horn is broken. if you ever make more OCS and you can't decide what race you want them to be, i'd advise making a group, all different races and what not.
