  1. @EquestrianScholar Okay, okay, maybe you're right about some things; the ENTIRE EXTERMINATION of the changelings may have been a bit much, for starters, I'll admit, but still, perhaps Twilight didn't feel as if they were just leaving her alone for a couple of minutes to think about what she had done, maybe, with the words that were used, she might have believed that they had turned their backs on her for a mean queen (excuse my language, please, but these have all been just my opinions, nothing more). And perhaps I still DON'T fell that they had givenher the TRULY proper resopnse; that, I feel, would have been to have taken her to a side room, then have Shining Armor make his explanation, then have Princess Celestia tell Twilight that she ought to take some time alone to think about what she had done, and then Shining Armor could say that if Twilight didn't apologize to Cadence, then she could forget about being best mare or showing up at the wedding. But yes, the outline of what you are saying the story should go is exactly what I would have done, though the best way, in my opinion, again, would be to combine Chapters 2, 3, first 1/2 of 4, and the majority of 9 with the fanfics 'The Canterlot Healing Process', 'Canterlot Consequences', 'What Could Have Been Lost', 'My Greatest Failure', and the sad and emotional parts of 'Bitterness' together into one story. But anyway, if I have said things that have offended you, that was unintentional, and I apologize for that; I simply wanted to state MY opinions on this story, along with the fact that I, at least, had enjoyed it while it lasted. For it seems that now, due to ALL of the point/counterpoint discussion, the author just can't seem to go on any longer. @Nionios The Renegade Yeah, you're right, maybe the ENTIRE EXTERMINATION of the Changelings would be a bit much. But I was NOT in any way trying to seem like I was being biased; I just wanted to give my personal opinions and ask for the author to continue with the story, which, unfortunately, will not happen now because all of the point/counterpoints have drained their will to go on. And what exactly is an author apologist? @Evil Dragon Master Yes, I do have some opinions, but if you don't like them, you don't have to. There I have said my pieces, and that is all I'm going to say.
  2. UGH! I am really getting sick and tired of this. What is the matter here, people? Look, the point of Firebolt's story here was, like a lot of other alternate 'Canterlot Wedding' stories, was simply to call out Twilight's loved ones for having abandoned her in her time of need. That was it. Now listen, I do agree that the way Twilight may have handled the situation at the rehersal was a bit out of character, even for her, but the way her brother, friends, and even mentor behaved was no better. What should have happened in ACW is they should all have sat Twilight down and talked it out with her, not just turned up their noses and left, nor fired her and barred her from the event, or even acted so coldly about her mistake. I, at least, am ONE brony who understands that perhaps Twilight acted rashly, but maybe that was because she was desperate to protect her brother, somepony she loved, and as the old saying goes: "Deperate times call for desperate measures." This story is a good example of how the show should have had a third ACW episode; call outs, hurt and upset, depression, TRUE Heartfelt Apologies, REAL forgiveness, reconciliation, etc. Firebolt just wants to vindicate Twilight and call out the ohters for their behaviour. Because I am also a fellow brony who is angry that Twilight DID NOT receive ANY formal apology whatsoever from the rest. Also, I personally liked when Chrysalis and the majority of the Changelings were destroyed, because they were apparently still such a major threat to Equestria that if Twilight didn't come back and do what she did, when she did, who knows what would/could have happened or where/when it would all end. Besides, the story isnow starting to turn to a more positive tone, with the reconciliation of Twilight and the others and their shared plan to rescue Cadence from the hive. So, Firebolt Blitz, I repeat what I said once before: Don't let any of these comments get to you; do what YOU fell you need to do in YOUR story for the reasons you feel. And if that's not good enough or acceptable for some, well, then that's THEIR problem. And to all who are still nitpicking the story apart, PLEASE STOP IT. Please give Firebolt Blitz the opportuinty to finish the story, which probably still has about 3-4 more chapters (maybe more) to go, and I have been waiting for at least 2 MONTHS now for the next one to be posted. Also, I would kind of like to find out whether or not the story can be ended on a positive note or two (Candence and Shining making amends and planning a new wedding, with Twilight reinstated, Celestia and Luna reconciling, a fair outcome at the trial, etc.). Plus, to answer vgmaster9's question about other fanfics on this topic, here are a few that really interested me (all of which can be read on FIMfiction): 1. The Canterlot Healing Process by twilightsparkle3562 2. Canterlot Consequences by Kinsfire 3. A Canterlot Wedding Aftermath by Black Kyurem 4. Pain Between Siblings by thejboy88 5. What Could Have Been Lost by TheVClaw 6. Post Nuptials by Darth Link 22 7. Grave by Dark Colt Sabata (possibly canceled) 8. Bitterness by PLCThe Cd
  3. Listen, please, EVERYBODY. Now, I understand that everyone here is just expressing their opinions about the story so far, and I do, and will, respect that, but please, can we all just STOP doing that long enough for Firebolt Blitz to at least FINISH the story, which will probably be at least 2-3 more chapters, if that. I mean, I at least, can see where Firebolt is trying to go with this fic; wanting to put it in a more realistic setting than the show did, and call out, in a way, both Twilight and her loved ones for the misunderstanding. Twilight needed some time to herself to come to the realization that she had acted WAY too rashly in her defense of her brother. But on the other hand, Shining Armor, the Mane 5, Spike, and even Princess Celestia needed to come to the realization of just how much they had actually hurt Twilight by siding with Chrysalis instead. Also, I do still believe that Chrysalis and the Changelings were indeed a threat that needed to be destroyed, because if they had won this time around, then not just Canterlot, but ALL of Equestria could have been overrun and destroyed just to satisfy the Changelings need to feed. So you see, Firebolt is just trying, in my opinion at least, anyway, to play this story out on BOTH ends, that of Twilight and her loved ones. Besides, there are OTHER fanfics out there that show the aftermath from both ends, such as: 1. A Canterlot Wedding Aftermath, by Black Kyurem, on FIMfiction.net 2. Canterlot Consequences by Kinsfire 3. The Canterlot Healing Process by Twilightsparkle3562 4. Post Nuptuals by Darth Link 22 5. Bitterness by Plcthecd, and even 6. Grave by Dark Colt Sabata, on FIMfiction, now cancelled I have also read What Have You Done, as well. Each of these deals with the matter in a different way, some focus on Twilight, some on her loved ones, and some even both. The point, though, is that while Twilight's actions with the false bride may have been out of character for her and uncalled for, her brother, her mentor and her friends were no better afterwards. That, folks, is what I can see as the point that Fire bolt is trying to imply here in this story. So, in all respects, what I am trying to say is, please stop being so point/counterpoint for the time being and allow Fire bolt to bring this story to its', hopefully, successful conclusion, because, I'll admit, I didn't really enjoy it all too much at first, but it grew on me a bit by bit, and now I would like to see what happens at the end, because this story is just Firebolt's opinon of how things probably should have gone in 'ACW', and I appreciate it. And, as I first said, if there are critics who don't like the way Twilight was probably FORCED to play Judge Dredd to stop what had happened before from happening again, well, then that's THEIR problem. NOT to say that I think they should not be talking some, but at least, perhaps, tone it down just a little and let the story finish out, then see where things go. As for you Firebolt Blitz, 'Keep Calm and Fanfic On.'
  4. No problem. I've seen these sorts of things happen to other fanfic authors before. It may not be much, but all I can say about those guys is; Don't let them get to you; do what you feel you need to do in your stories for the reasons you feel. And if that's not good to those jerkheads, well, that's THEIR problem! In any case, I still am hoping that after the matter with Cadence is resolved, then the court can be cleared up on a good note as well; I would still be looking forward to the wedding happening after all. 'Keep Calm and Fanfic On!'
  5. Hello, there. Sorry, I know that you don't know me, I'm new. I just wanted to say that I have been following this story since I first learned about it while surfing around for others like it, and I have really begun to enjoy it. I didn't at first, though, because of the fallout between Twilight and the 'Infamous Seven', though I do understand that it was necessary at the time. I do, however, understand, also, that you wanted to vindicate Twilight and call out the others on their behavior. I always thought that there should have been a THIRD ACW episode that would have served to help the characters deal with these issues themselves; call outs, upset, depression, REAL forgiveness, reconciliation, etc. So I want you to know that, at least, I think that your story is doing just fine so far. Also, I do agree with the idea that Chrysalis had to be destroyed, since she is probably also undead and can't really be killed, but still, she did still pose a major danger, not just to Canterlot, but ALL of Equestria, and who knows how far she would have gone to achieve her goal had Twilight not done it. I do also like the fact that, despite how the story started, she and her mentor, friends, and even brother seem now to be on the road to recovery between them. Twilight does NOT deserve to be treated like a criminal; two wrongs don't make a right. I fully agree. Lastly, I was a bit surprised in how the guards told Luna that the 'Infamous Seven' are going to have to answer the nobility now, even though I am hoping that the matter can be resolved peacefully in a way. Same goes for Shining Armor and Cadence, because, despite how she felt in earlier chapters, I would very much like to see this story end in the vein of ACW part2, if that is at all possible, though of course, we'll probably have to wait and see, but that's okay. Anyway, love the story, keep up the good work, and don't worry, NO FLAMES from me.
