The 100th episode special of MLP, Slice of Life, has been generally well received throughout the fandom. I enjoyed it immensely, and I must say that it is a love letter to the fandom as a whole. It has so many little self-referential tidbits to the show and the fandom it created. Dark Qiviut, Nuke, and probably others have tackled this in detail. I recommend you check out their blogs if you're curious.

The episode shows what I love about MLP in general. We get a surprisingly well-crafted story with a fantastic moral, mostly spot-on humor, likable characters, and a sense that we as a community are appreciated. The MLP staff cares immensely for their fanbase, and the quality of their show. Sure, they don't always knock it out of the park, but I'll be damned if they don't try. This amount of effort and respect for the community is no more apparent than it is here.

I sincerely couldn't have asked for a better episode to bow out of the active fandom on. Until next time!
