Time for a tiny break in the chapter summaries. In Part 7 of my concept layout, I posted some summaries of OCs at the very top. Some will be reposted with some updates, while others will be reordered and introduced. BTW, depending on how I write out the concept, this list will be updated with notice. The sections of OCs will be divided as primary and secondary, starting with the primary.

Primary OCs:

Dawn Shimmer: Sunset's father. Stay-at-home, helping take care of the house. Reserved into wondering if Sunset was never going to return. Doesn't let it affect his relationship with his son and wife. Very close to his son. Physical appearance is a bright gold fur with long off-white mane and tail (mane extends past his shoulders) and sky blue eyes. Magical aura's sky blue. Cutie mark is a half sun over a simple side image of a dark gray skillet; image mirrors.

Sunrise Shimmer: Sunset's mother. Helps work as a lifeguard along Grazewood's coast during the summer hours. Even when she receives news that Sunset has seemed to thrive, she's apprehensive, and she's not afraid to tell Solstice the truth about the cause of his sister's decision to run away. Hit so hard by her daughter's runaway status, she couldn't look at the sunset without crying. Coat's alizarin crimson. Her short tail has two ends that curl together like a heart. The front of her mane splits into two long side bangs. The back of her mane's short and tied in a bun like a ponytail; otherwise, it flows freely down to the tops of her shoulders. Both her mane and tail have streaks of both red and yellow ochre, and her mane shines or dulls depending on her mood. Cutie mark is rays of sunshine forming into a half-sun in the center from the flank's left; image doesn't mirror.

Solstice Shimmer: Sunset's little brother, nicknamed "Solsty" by Sunset. At the time of the story, he's only eight years old. Talks in simple language. Sunset didn’t know he got a little brother the entire time while in Equestria and only. Welcoming and becomes really close to his older sister later in the story. Coat color's a brighter, more saturated version of Sunset's amber, and his eyes are the same color as Sunset's. Mane and tail are short and a muted red. Like Sunset, his magical aura's the same green color, yet weaker. Cutie mark is a small sun at the top of his flank with stylized rays pointing down towards his abdomen; image mirrors.

King Arion: A naturally-born alicorn who lived long before Celestia and Luna were born. He ruled an arid country called Arion Stratus, which was unnamed until long after his death for unknown reasons. Traditionally, alicorns are capable of flying and performing magic. Unfortunately, he had pennaplegia, a condition that paralyzes the wings from birth via injury of the wings inside the womb. To pin his wings in place, he uses straps to tie them up to his abdomen. He created the mirror by scavenging for bones of dead unicorns, pegasi, and earth ponies, and he cremated them in secret to make sand. He used magic to make the glass shatterproof and then wrote a new spell to make the mirror act as a portal to negotiate with other countries for trades and diplomacy. Kept his mirror in secret throughout his life and well beyond his deathbed. Colors are a rusty brown coat with thick, slick streaks of white and bronze in his mane and tail. His mane is thick, while his tail was long, slender, and frayed at the end. Eyes are bright aquamarine. Magical aura's silver. Cutie mark is a white cloud in the simplified shape of a horse's side view; image mirrors with the muzzle facing the abdomen.

Secondary OCs:

Old Iron: The primary CHS security guard in the fic. He keeps watch on CHS in case of any danger. Skin color's periwinkie with very short, light blueish steel hair. Speaks in short, snappy sentences, but is fair and will help. Doesn't appear often.

May Flour: Equestria-only and a unicorn. Of the two May sisters, May Flour is the oldest. At the time of the story, Flour's twenty-one years old. Talks with a bunch of sass, in childlike in personality, and with some contractions. She has a greenish-gray coat, bright lemon yellow eyes, and short off-white mane and tail with a tinge of yellow. Her tail and mane are smooth. Aura's sunshine yellow. Cutie mark is two simplified bags of flour; when overlapped, it looks like the shape of a heart; image doesn't mirror.

May Z. Acres: Equestria-only and an Earth pony. First half of her name a pun on "maize," another term for "corn"; second half referencing "acre," a unit of land. Flour's younger sister. Speaks casually, yet a little more down to earth and less contractions. Coat's grassy green with lemon yellow eyes and blonde hair, the back in a ponytail (in the mill, trapped in a hairnet). Cutie mark is corn with silk popping out from the top; image doesn't mirror.

Caveno (pronounced "Kah-VEE-no"): Equestria-only, female, and an Earth pony. Named after the Cavendish, a type of banana. Banana yellow coat with bright, sapphire blue eyes. Mane from the poll to the front has two long bangs and two short bangs, each curling down. Mane from the poll behind her head trails down one side of her shoulder before curling up at the tip. Tail is slender before splitting into three at the end, the top longer than the other two. Cutie mark is three unpeeled bananas attached on top and lying on the side, the bottom facing the abdomen; image mirrors.

Tertiary OCs:

Flint: Equestria-only, male, Earth pony. Named after a type of corn. Mill House's husband, May Flour and May Z. Acres's father. Coat's a saturated lavender (lavender that's more to the pink hue). Eyes are dark gray. Hair usually bunched within a hairnet. Usually, cutie mark covered with gray jacket, but it's a necklace of two flint kernels (orange, yellow); image doesn't mirror.

Mill House: Equestria-only, male, Earth pony. Flint's husband, May Flour and May Z. Acres's father. Coat's light mahogany with a slight pinkish hue; his legs have very thick fur with dark tan hooves. Eyes are a muted red. Hair usually contained in hairnet. Cutie mark is a stylized waterwheel.
