Not sure what the other white ball you see is, but some have said it's Jupiter. Taken with my Galaxy S8, lowered white balance, and no filter over the sensor.

With the naked eyes it does indeed look like a black orb with a ring of light around it. This was really awesome to see.

The 23rd Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3, will begin on June 10th with EA Play. So I will take it upon myself to refresh everyone on common buzzwords that game publishers and developers will use, and their true meanings.

Note: This method works best for owners of Skylake CPUs.

  1. Turn off computer if it isn't already off.
  2. Take side panel off computer.
  3. Remove cooler from CPU.
  4. Grab a Sharpie.
  5. Mark out the model name. In my case, Core i5 6600K
  6. Write the appropriate Kaby Lake model name. In my case, Core i5 7600K

And there you have it, you have upgraded to a Kaby Lake CPU for $0! :D

At this time last year, my build went from what I called White_Power (ignore the price of the 970, I actually bought that for ~$330) to PCMcPCface.

So how did I get to this point?

  1. Purchased an MSI R9 390 as a replacement for the 970 since I though it would be more suited for 1440p. I found that it was no better and sent it back. But I did get a Steam key for Civilization V: Beyond Earth, which is cool.
  2. A week or so later after the refund came back, I dropped $650 on an EVGA GTX 980 Ti. I was extremely happy to get this. At the time, one of the most powerful GPUs on the market.

  1. Found the 980 Ti was bottlenecking my system. I had the choice of either going back to the 970, or further upgraded hardware, so that is exactly what I did.
  2. Purchased an Intel Core i5-6600, 32 gigs G. Skill Ripjaws V series DDR4-2133 with blue heat spreaders (I only meant to buy 16 gigs), and the ASUS Z170-A MoBo. No more bottlenecks, and the GPU killed everything at 1440p.
  3. Audio and mouse upgrades! :D Got myself a Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum and HyperX Cloud II (in gunmetal 'cause I;m not manly enough for the pink ones) for some proper sound quality that Turtle Beach could only ever dream of.
  4. Upgraded to Windows 10 out of plain curiosity. It worked pretty well, when the wifi was working. Rolled back to Win8.1 days later.

  1. Another audio upgrade. After trying the Sennheiser 598, I bought it and a Modmic 4.0 to make myself a DIY headset. For a combined $200, twice the cost of the Cloud II's, but proper open-back headphones and one of the most popular choices for a clip-on mic makes it worth the extra.
  2. Went back to Windows 10 after deciding I didn't want something as silly as wifi stopping me. I managed to fix it, and I've never had any issue with it anymore.

  1. Decided to downsize from an ATX mid-tower, to a Micro ATX cube via the Thermaltake Core V21 (my favorite cube case) and the ASUS MAXIMUS VIII GENE. It's a current trend in PCs to pack power into a smaller footprint, so I decided to try that out. And thus The Bigger,Blacker Gamecube was born

  1. As part of me deciding to put my unused parts to use for my brother's PC, I replaced the 980 TI with an MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X. Wasn't much of a true upgrade, but newer technologies and less power consumption is nice.

  1. Replaced the Hyper 212 EVO and i5-6600 with the Cooler Master V8 GTS and i5-6600K. A badass looking cooler that actually did a better job than the 212 EVO and an unlock CPU to allow overclocking. Mine runs at 4.0 GHz.
  2. Replaced the Noctua NF-F12 I was using as an exhaust fan (because the case didn't come with one) with the Cryorig XF140 CR-FXA, a 140mm fan, up from 120mm.
  3. Replaced the G. Skill RAM with 32 gigs Kingston HyperX FURY DDR4-2666 with black heat spreaders. I wanted to get two sticks in black and the other two in red, but they were out of stock and I didn't want tall-ass heatspreaders. RAM heatspreaders should be as short and chode-like as possible.
  4. Replaced the 2 TB HDD with a 2 TB Samsung 850 EVO. A 2.5 inch SSD that cost well over $600, but SSD speeds and not having to hear a hard drive spinning up are worth it.

Busy month for me, as well as us having to clean up water damage from a burst pipe and remodel the kitchen. We all lost a chunk of change in August, but we got new and better things out of it.

  1. Got some custom sleeved cables from Cablemod. 24-pin motherboard, 4+4 CPU, 6 and 8 pin PCI-E connectors. It was expensive, but it looked so much nicer.

  1. Bought an LG 34UM95C. A 34 inch 1440p ultrawide. Couldn't actually use it on my stand, so I returned it and replaced it was a Dell U3415W. I also decided to finally switch from using HDMI to Displayport to overclock the monitor to 80 Hz (up from the standard 60 Hz).

  1. Out with the 1070 in favor of a 1080, also from MSI. I wanted the 1080 to begin with, and of course the 980 Ti went into my brother's PC, so the 1070 was a stopgap in the meantime while I waited for prices to come down.

If you think I should've waited for Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday for sales of this, the lowest I saw was just under $600 (I paid $650) for the ASUS ROG Strix card, and there is no way in Hell I'm buying an ASUS GPU.

  1. The V8 GTS is loud and HUEG like Xbox, so I switched from air to water in the form of the Corsair H100i V2.
  2. The standard fans for the AIO cooler sucks, so a couple of Noctua NF-F12 Industrial fans with replaced red anti-vibration pads were purchased. I since have purchased two more to replace the 200mm intake fan.
  3. Also gotten a Noctua NF-A14 Industrial for use as an exhaust fan, also sporting some red anti-vibration pads to keep in line with my black 'n red theme.
  4. On an impulse buy at Best Buy, I decided to replace the G502 (a mouse I love) to the G900. A mouse that performs not much better, if any at all, but it's wireless, and that is saying something. It was $130, compared to the $60 that I payed for the G502. But hey, I got some money for Christmas, so I had to blow it on something.
  5. And actually last, thanks to a $100 Amazon gift card, a Cooler Master Mastercase Pro 3 was purchased. Another mATX case, but back into a tower, but it has a freaking tempered glass side panel. Or, at least you can get one for it. I plan to do so since I wanted a case with a tempered glass side panel, but there is no other mATX case that has that.

So, 12 months, and several thousand dollars later (not even considering other things I have bought in 2016), I went from a revised version of my very first self-made PC, to the kind of system I am proud to call my own. If I actually end up doing this all over again, rebuilding into one of the most badass PCs of 2017, then so be it.

Some may think I wasted a shit load of money this year on PC hardware and perpetuated the stereotype that PC gamers have to upgrade all the time. None of the parts I started out with in 2016 are "bad" or "outdated" in any way. I'm just exercising my ability to upgrade whenever I feel like it.

I guess I'm back

Regarding my "farewell" blog post, I was just dealing with some internal stuff that really got to me. Nothing really happened to me, just a case of an ongoing existential crisis. I don't know why this keeps happening, but I need to get a handle on it before something really bad happens. Also regarding an inability to make any/keep friends, I've managed 25 years without it, so why change that?

Anyway, in the mean time, I've had a shift change at work. :D I now work 1st shift instead of 2nd. Seriously, fuck 2nd shift jobs.

I've also made a couple of changes to my PC because I seemingly can't leave it alone for any extended period of time. It now sports an MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X, overclocked to just under 2.1 GHz, and my CPU cooler is now a Corsair H100i V2. I've switched out the stock fans for some Noctua NF-F12 Industrial fans with red Chromax anti-vibration pads. I've also ordered 2 more to replace the stock Thermaltake 200 mm fan as case fans, and an NF-F14 as the exhaust fan. Assuming AMD's Ryzen CPUs are as good as they make them out to be, I might be moving from my 6600K to Ryzen. I just hope that AMD keeps their current mount system in place so I can just slot my AIO right in place over it. I don't even care about the price-to-performance, I just want AMD to kick Intel's ass into gear so they can either lower their prices, or make Cannon Lake actually be a substantial upgrade over what Kaby Lake is according to leaked benchmarks.

If AMD fails to deliver on their claims, I might move to X99 instead...

Oh, and that goes for Vega too. I probably won't get a Vega GPU since I already have my 1080, but the same principle applies.

I've also donated a whopping $500 to Making Christmas Merrier this year. I actually wanted to make it $1,000, but those I couldn't quite make it happen. I may not much care for Christmas, (or, pretty much any holiday really) but at least someone in a 3rd-world nation will have clean water, even if it is for a short time.

Might not be back

It hasn't even been a month since my last serious blog post (the majority of which are just shitposts anyway) when said I was going to stay, amidst the turmoil, but it feels very strange around here now that some of the members and staff that I've grown accustomed to seeing have been gone.

In the 2 years that I've been here, I have also never made any friends. It's already hard enough for me to make any in the first place. I know I have made very little effort to do so, hell, I deny every friend request I get around here, but I need to feel some sort of connection before I consider anyone to be a friend, and I'm not comfortable with just diving in with people. I used to have that when I was on another forum before I was permabanned from there, and afterwards on PSN and Kik, but that relationship is long dead.

With the exposure of some of the brass around here for who they truly are, many people are leaving. I fully expected this to happen. Hell, a vaguely similar situation is happening where I work, and I'm still employed.

Why am I staying? I'm curious to see if this whole thing can be salvaged and fixed. If I ever feel the need to, I'll take a position in Poniverse to aid in the best of my ability. If I were to, I would need to be assured that any BS will not come my way, nor anyone else on the staff, or I would do the same as Jeric and Eloquence. In the meantime, I'll do my best to carry on with my normal business.

If I do ever decide to leave, and if any of you wish to contact me, here is my info:

I want to keep this short, but I do have a message for Yellow Diamond, Simon, Nervous Stitch, and anyone from the board if any of them read this.

If you have a hope in Hell of fixing this, cut the shit, and act like adults. Don't play favorites, don't make false accusations just to have an excuse to ban someone, and don't censor people. I understand that you are human, not machines. We all make mistakes, hell I've made my own in 25 years. Poniverse may be non-profit now, but servers cost money to run, and this site relies on donations from members and Google Adsense. If you want to keep this going, and if you care about this community you should heed my message.

A highly dangerous virus known as Weekly Overload Recreational Killer (WORK) is currently going around. If you contract the WORK virus, you should immediately go to your nearest Biological Anxiety Relief (BAR) Center to take antidotes known as WORK Isolating Neutralizer Extract (WINE), Radioactive UnWORK Medicine (RUM), Bothersome Employer Elimination Rebooter (BEER), or Vaccine Official Depression Killing Antigen (VODKA).

I'm straight, and I dislike LGBT because it's not hardwired in us to be sexually engaged with the same sex. god didn't create us that way. But anyways my religion my beliefs I'm not gonna hate. If you're gay or lesbian, live life the way you choose, but I'd strongly suggest sticking with how you were born and not try to alter how god created you from the start.

you born a girl? live life as a girl. you born a boy? live life as a boy. IMO it's better for you.

If you want to know more about Islamic views on LGBT, please wash away your preconceived notions and watch this video. (video removed) Don't read the comments, they will mess up your head (it happened to me many times)

Source: What's your sexuality?

I'll just make this a blog post instead of a regular one.

Since I do not believe in any sort of deity with a power greater than that of nature or humanity, I am not blind to reality. If *specifically* humans are created by God, and that we're not "hardwired" to be attracted to the same sex, then why the hell am I attracted to both men and women?

Homosexuality has been observed by every natural species, and humans are a part of nature, so what makes us as a species so much different that we are exempt from nature?

Also, did you know that Iran actually has the 2nd highest amount of male-to-female gender reassignments behinds Thailand? The reason for that is because homosexuality is fucking outlawed. Some gay and bi men are pressured into gender reassignment surgery in order to prevent prosecution as long as they keep a low profile.

I swear, one of these days all this anti-LGBT bullshit will end, and everyone regardless of gender, race, national origin, or sexuality will be seen as equal to one another. Only then will we be able to further ourselves as a species.

I am so glad Levayan Satanism is actually pro-LGBT. :)

I sexually Identify as a ground attack/air superiority aircraft. Ever since I was a boy I dreamed of flying over enemy territory raining hellfire on disgusting foreigners. People say to me that a person being a plane is Impossible and I’m fucking retarded but I don’t care, I’m beautiful. I’m having a plastic surgeon install 2 General Electric TF34-GE-100A turbofan engines, GAU-8/A Avenger 30 mm cannon and AGM-65 surface-to-air missiles on my body. From now on I want you guys to call me “Warthog” and respect my right to kill from above and kill needlessly. If you can’t accept me you’re a planephobe and need to check your vehicle privilege.

Thank you for being so understanding.
