Toby Mason is a six year old human child who wishes for someone to love him. One year ago, Toby lost his mother, Ashley Mason in a terrible car crash. She was on her way to pick him up from school when the tragedy occurred. After her death, Toby was difficult to console, but his father, James Mason took the loss the hardest.

Feeling as his life ended with the death of his wife, James began drinking heavily, and in turn started to become abusive toward his son. He mostly abused Toby verbally, such as call the boy weak, pathetic, and would even go as far as to blame Toby for Ashley's death. Left heartbroken by his father's actions, Toby decides to make a wish to live in a new home, and have a family that would love him and not treat him cruelly like his father.

How would the ponies of Equestria, especially the Mane Six react toward in discovering a lost human child in their land? Will they have the heart to take him in no matter his species and treat him as one of their own? Or will they fear him as a monster, and abandon him in a time of need?
