From: The 2014 MLPF WORLD CUP FINAL: FLUTTERSHY VS TWILIGHT SPARKLE
Wow, I was a little shocked by this, but recently Sterling Crimson just contacted to tell me that not too long ago, it was found out that someone hacked the forums and messed with the votes!
He, unfortunately had to be called away at the last minute so he asked me, naturally, to inform everyone that it started in the Celestia vs Scootaloo round, where originally Celestia was actually about to win.
I'm shocked and disgusted by this, that members of our own forums would stoop to such base trickery.
Considering all that has happened, all the votes are being brought into question, and its placed Sterling in a bit of a pickle. He thought it only fair, that in light of this new information, that Celestia be declared the winner from that round, and after taking a long time to review an obscure tomb of MLPF rules for certain situations like this, it has been determined that the only course of action is to,
Declare Celestia winner by default!
All hail Celestia!
According to bylaw #7331, under any case where the forums are hacked and the votes are skewed, and the competition has been completed or is near completion, the participant that was in the lead when the votes first started being hacked, is chosen by default to be the winner.
I do apologize to the community, for this unexpected upset, however, I can say with complete conviction, that if the votes had remained untampered with, that the most likely outcome of the MLPF tourney would have been Celestia's victory. It makes sense that the ones who altered the votes, did so because they knew that Celestia was bound for victory and they felt threatened by this and made dastardly moves against Best Pony.
Perhaps next year, we can have a more fair and balanced tournament, to settle once and for all, for the doubters out there, that Celestia is Best Pony, but for now we must settle for a win by default technicality.
