Now I know this may not seem to be much of an update, but here is what I got currently.

Now I know it may seem silly to be trying to add a background, but I think it would be more beneficial if I did this first before coloring the dragon and plus it gives me ideas of what to do next. now the background isn't exactly eye level, however it is in the same view point as the dragon so yeah, here you go.
