Let It Go=What I Hope To Achieve

Yes this "overrated" song is still important to me :P It represents the kind of freedom I wish to achieve. I want to reach that point in my life where I can finally be myself where there are no rules with how to act, where I can express myself the way I see fit, where I can be free with no restraints :D

Yes I don't have ice powers, but I am definitely being held back from letting out my true self, I'm in a prison that I want to break out of. I'll be alone in the future but I'll be free and content with that at least :) I know I'll cry, but I'll finally be able to let out that pain with screams of agony instead of holding it all in.

Like Elsa I wish to let it all go, break free from my bonds and not give a damn about what anyone thinks. Wish me luck my friends....there is still a humongous chance I may not be able to enjoy that precious freedom :(

But if I can, this will be the first song I'll play from my new apartment :D

This was cheesy as hell I know...but I honestly don't give a crap ^_^

I'm glad things are looking up at last. :)

And I don't judge you for being emotional because I do not know the full extent of your situation.

But in fact, I suspect I may be able to relate to how you feel in a way.

You should sing it too! Even if you don't sing good! :3

On the day my mom and I separate from my dad forever, I really want to find a way to play the chorus of this song http://youtu.be/h3JFEfdK_Ls XD

Let It Go is not overrated. To be overrated, something has to be not as good as people claim it is. But Let It Go really is that good.

(Though if we're rating songs that Elsa sings in her ice palace, it's only my second favourite.)

"Let It Go" is definitely not overrated. Overplayed, perhaps, but not overrated. It's a terrific song.

That being said, the song and its lyrics should be cautionary, because the sequence didn't solve Elsa's problems. She sought to close herself off from the world -- she ends the song by shutting a door in the viewer's face -- but that eventually left Anna pleading for her to return. The great irony of "Let It Go" is that Elsa appears triumphant when she's in fact averting what needs to be addressed, such as her fundamental disconnect with Anna and her anxiety regarding her own nature. For me, the song has a resonant connection with Simon and Garfunkel's "I Am Rock", which itself knowingly expressed the false hope of isolation washing away pain.

Although I don't meant to douse cold water (hyuk hyuk) on the concepts of self-empowerment and freedom, I do think it's worthwhile to remember that Elsa's greatest strength came from the love she and Anna shared. "Let It Go" tells only half the story.

Well since I've lost all the people I loved, I have no choice but to go it alone -_-
