Manufacturer and Powerplant: The bulk of the Big Bus fleet consists of older London or Hong Kong Spec double deckers which have been converted to "open top" configurations. These buses come from primarily British manufacturers such as Leyland, Dennis and AEC. Following the investment from the Al-Fahim company newer Chinese buses from Ankai were purchased for the World Fleet.

Fare Collection: Tickets can be purchased from Travel Brokers or from Big Bus and they are typically valid for an entire day. Allowing tourists to "hop off" the bus at one attraction and "hop on" again when they want to visit another.
