This Character is actually meant to be tailored for a fan fic I'm working on. That's how I see her at least.

Color Scheme

So I know I wanted to go with a red coat and yellow eyes but had to figure out if a blue or purple mane would be more fitting. Well, it's clear enough what that turned out to be. Another important part of the choice of colors is how they contrast one another (basically what you would see if you grayscale the image). There's a lot that I can explain about how the colors were chosen and it was kind of a long process to get to what is shown now. What's important is that the perceived brightness of the mane and coat contrast considerably with the eyes but the brightness of the mane and coat don't really contrast. Hopefully it makes her eyes stand out more. It does make me wonder how she would look when talking down on somepony. She can have a rather fierce attitude.

Additionally, it is intended for her to wear a cheongsam (this is how I see it looking on a pony). The color of the dress would match her mane and have yellow edges, matching her eyes.

Speaking of her eyes, I think that needs revising. It might look better to go with a more golden color rather than a pure yellow.

Who she is

She is a mother of three who lives with her husband and youngest foal, Morning Solitude (Sully), in a nice apartment in Tall Tale (see map). Her other two offspring Metro Shade and Meadow Howl have already moved out of the house. Her occupation is head of the human resources department of a large company that employs a lot of ponies. Both she and her husband have high-paying jobs, which is how they could afford to live in a somewhat posh apartment. If there's anything she loves to do, it's impressing people.

Cutie Mark

I'm still working on that one. From what I already have written down, it's "scribbled paper" but I'm wondering if it should look more like a contract. That might actually be fitting for someone working in HR.
