It's not going to improve, unless the writers actually watch reviews, which they most likely don't.  On top of that their core demographic is little girls, not males.

They should still focus on making good episodes though, y'know? I didn't like this one, so I made it vocal. I'm a fan of the show, and I feel any fan of the show should have a right to criticize.

And the core demographic matters very little to the staff. The brony community has gotten so large that it's enough to influence the production of episodes. If it wasn't, Slice of Life wouldn't exist.
