Termomekanik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş was abbreviated to Temsa for English and non Turkish companies to better pronounce. Temsa is notable for gaining market share in North America in the fiercely competitive market for Small and Medium sized coach buses surpassing domestic giants such as Prevost and MCI in that market.

Temsa builds its own bus frames and bodies and incorporates engine and drivetrain technologies from other sources to make them compliant in various regions of the world. The North American variants typically come equipped with an Allison Transmission and a Cummins ISX Turbodiesel. European Variants come with MAN or DAF diesel engines coupled to ZF Transmissions. In a partnership with Mitsubishi Fuso, Temsa builds the Mitsubishi Canter light truck series in the Middle East under license. The TS-35 and 45's were built specifically for the North American Market.
Temsa released a larger vehicle the TS-45 to compete with the North American bus giants
Temsa models are most notable for their much sharper turning radius as compared to their North American or European counterparts. Most streets in Turkey and the Middle East are very narrow. The turning radius was not altered for any of the exported variants and this as been a major selling point for the Temsa brand in North America. Drivers are able to maneuver the buses down streets other buses would have difficulty entering.

Temsa's lower cost of acquisition has enabled smaller van companies to finally purchase new buses instead of used ones. And allowed existing bus companies to expand their fleets to tackle smaller trips without using larger buses than needed.
