I pretty much abandoned this blog of mine. That's gonna change starting today.
- 1947:A hurricane struck New Orleans, Louisiana. Killing 51 people and causing $110 million in damage.
- 1955: Hurricane Hilda strikes Mexico. Killing 200 people.
- 1967: Hurricane Beulah dumped 12 inches of rain in Brownsville, Texas within 24 hours, establishing a record for that city.
- 1987: Cold weather surged into the Rockies. Temperatures dipped to the 30s and 40s (Fahrenheit) while the higher elevations dipped into the 20s. Gunnison, CO reported a temperature of 15*F.
- 1989: Hurricane Hugo hits Puerto Rico.
