Before I Go
Right now in Albuquerque it is 8:05 AM. My race is in just a few hours.

I literally got two bites of breakfast down before I thought it would all come back up. My stomach feels like it is doing backflips and somersaults and all kinds of weird circus tricks. The weird thing is: I shouldn't even be nervous. I know I'm not in the running for top 10, top 25, or even top 50. I've told myself that, unlike the gun-ho "I need to win this to get a scholarship" athletes out here, I'm just doing this for fun. And yet I still feel like I'm gonna puke any moment. So what do I do to calm my nerves?
I come to the forums. Yeah, you guys.
I've only been here a couple short weeks, but I already feel right at home. You guys are really awesome, and always make any crappy day of mine instantly better. So here I am, making a silly blog post before I go and elbow people in the face run a nice, clean, non-contact race.
In short, you guys are badass. /)
