I decided to get back fully into the fandom. I was still a hardcore brony, but life put that all on hold. As a last ditch attempt to make MLP more prominent in my life, I went to Babscon. It was a good convention, but all my plans blew up in my face. One brony couldnt go, so he sold his room to someone else(Why not me? I work minimum wage and all is already spent on bills). The other brony gave me the run around until finally he blew me off for 2 hours. I called, texted and face timed him yet nothing. Finally got a room with a super chill VIP and I am uber grateful for that bro. Several hours later, like 2 in the morning, the dude texts me saying they are at the room. I face palmed and slept. Next morning I just left the convention. Yes, I let really bad bronies spoil my good time. So what? My managers at my work harrass me to the point where I cut myself(Dont worry, im safe). On top of that, my local pharmacy didnt know how to refill my prescription, so know its been 5 days since my last dosage of meds.

getting back to the point of this, I realised that I was letting peoples opinions shape my perception of things. I have been told that all the new MLP fans are just 4chan, fedora wearing, bullies. And they were right...but not about the fans...they were right about the horse famous people. The VIP who let me room with him told me some horror stories about a few community celebrities. After listening to his story and wandering around a bit, all before I left mind you, I realised that the fans are just fans of the show, coming from all walks of life wanting to connect with like minded people, away from judgement.

When there were like...2,000 fans at most? Now our fandom is almost as big as Harry Potter's fandom.
