Ramblings on meditation

Today I once more decided to go to work out and meditate in the steamroom. I used to train under a Comanche medicine man who was very wise and knowledgeable about meditation, and he chose to do it in a steamroom because it was similar to a sweat lodge. He could do minor things, like speed healing, with the power of his mind. For a short time, I could also do this. For instance, something like a fresh cut, after meditating, would look like it was a few days old. An injury or sickness that took a week to heal normally may only have taken a couple days, if you focused on it a lot.

Meditation is also good for contemplating problems in your life in how to solve them. Many people do not give themselves enough time to just sit back and think. If you do this, sometimes revelations will come to you that you never would have expected. It is also very relaxing, sitting or lying facedown on a towel in the warm steam. This new place I go to is very good for this purpose, because there is never anyone else using the steamroom. I am almost always completely alone.

Nowadays I don't feel as mentally powerful though. I have not meditated as much of late. I really should do it more often. Anyways, I walked for a couple miles on the treadmill, and then went to the steam. It was nice, I felt somewhat cleansed, although it was hard to keep mental focus without my mind gravitating towards my favorite subject.

I know I should not think about such things while meditating, but it is hard not to because... you keep an open mind so thoughts can easily flow in, and that comes in. I guess it's hard to describe... Some people might tell me I should work on changing my interest, but it has become something I love. I never ever want it to go away! Since I like thinking about it, I indulged a little bit. Next time I will be more disciplined and push it away!

When I have the time to meditate or lucid dream I almost always revert back to undisciplined thoughts. Unless I have a clear logical goal, like meditate on a high working memory image. Smoke has alot of particles, but the brain would more readily summarize it as a certain patterned almost singular object.  So thats one difficulty of trying high cpu processes. Particles are high cpu because of many many velocities being organized at once.
