11. Teleportation
She smiled at his wink. Oh why must he be so endearing?!
It was driving her crazy.
They ordered dinner and then it was time to pay the bill.
"I insist on picking this up. You paid last night for dinner."
She politely suggested it but didn't truly believe he would let her.
~
"And I will pay again tonight."
He smiled at her and picked up the bill. It wasn't something he couldn't handle. He was able to pay it and still go to a movie. So he did pay it. But before they left, he asked her a question.
"It's starting to get just a little bit dark right now. Would you like to go to the star-gazing area now, or would you like to see a movie?"
He didn't mind because either way, he'd be with her.
~
"I was a actually more interested in the stargazing area. Do you know much about astronomy?"
She had always been fascinated by it but had never quite got the hang of memorizing the names of the constellations.
Well even if he didn't this was a better option than sitting in a dark theater for two hours trying to focus on something other than him.
That hadn't worked out so well today so she decided not to resist it any longer.
~
"Not much. I've read a few books, but I still find it hard to see constellations. I know the names of them, but their placement and such escapes me."
Hopefully she wouldn't be disappointed.
"To get the stargazing area, we pass by my shop. If you want, I can run in and grab a sheet that has constellations on it..."
"And a blanket so we don't have to stand and so you don't ruin your gorgeous dress..."
~
"That would be great. I know a little so maybe with our semi knowledge of constellations put together we can see something rather beautiful."
~
"Maybe."
They started off towards the area, and he ran inside his shop and found the sheet. He also found a couple blankets, and he shoved this in a slightly worn saddlebag and ran back outside. He hoped she wouldn't question the saddlebags too much.
"Ok. So do you want to teleport there so we can get there during the sunset, or do you want to walk there..? Walking will take a little while..."
"And teleporting will mean I have to be close to you... I don't mind that."
~
"To see the sunset would be wonderful and I've never teleported before."
She had heard of it and was a bit frightened but she knew they had worked out the kinks.
Hopefully.
"So where and how do we teleport there?"
~
"Well..."
He got close to her side, so close that if he swayed a bit, he would have touched her. This made him blush.
"I've teleported a lot before... I know how to teleport multiple ponies, but I haven't tried it... Here we go..."
~
Suddenly he was standing quite close to her, close enough to smell.
His cologne was intoxicating, in a good way of course, and drove her crazy.
She had always had a thing for colognes, but his was exceptional!
In the midst of her pining over his body fragrance, she didn't even hear him say "here we go" and all of a sudden there was a loud WHOOSHing noise and the scenery blurred around them.
She wanted to yelp, even scream, but he was close to her and she grabbed his hoof instead.
She hoped he hadn't minded...and it did feel nice even though it was out of fear.
