Are some (male) bronies that secure about their masculinity?
Ever since I was a brony (December 22nd 2011 at around 7PM eastern), I've started noticing how bad haters are. Before that, I was simply one of those people who think the show is evil, calling nuclear strikes on bronies and tried to add a bit of humor to my hate messages (though quoting the demoman at the end of his meet the team video was a bit epic had it not pissed off even those who didn't like the show). Now a days, it's the same thing: furries (2 of my friends are bronies and furries at the same time so I don't care) and pedophiles (THAT I care since crime against children rank #1 in my books in crimes) and the usual "they watch a show for little girls! They're not men!"
However, many brony replies I've seen say that the haters aren't secure in their masculinity, almost implying that the bronies are (the guys at least). That, I somewhat find a bit hard to believe. If you guys say they're not secure of their masculinity because they keep calling us "unmanly"... then that basically mean that you guys aren't that secure by replying that way and saying you're secure like that. See, were you truly secure, you don't have to keep announcing it. If anything, you're attempting to convince YOURSELF that you're that way and if you were truly secure, you wouldn't need convincing and those comments shouldn't bother you.
EDIT: Also, happy first blog post, me!
