I always thought Bugs was straight but he did those things to play mind games with his enemies so they'd lose their cool. 

Of course, those cartoons were made in a different era when gays, crossdressers, and transgendered folk were forced to stay in the closet.  I still don't think Bugs falls into any of those groups, though. 

Yeah. There's a fine line between sarcastic stupidity and stupidity stupidity. I have no idea where this lay.

Back then it was OK to show that, but eventually it became offensive or something. Bugs in some episodes gets a girl.. and its said that Lola and him are a couple.

I laughed so hard. But, it's still true. Back then, I guess people saw it as a joke. Just like back then they showed smoking in kids' cartoons. But, that was back in the days...
