I'm sick of fires in my dorm building! There was another fire alarm this morning, just as I was preparing to go to class around 7am. This is an ongoing problem here. It seems like I get woken up by a fire alarm 3-8 times a month. At one point, there were even 4 fires in 3 days. We have one almost every week, although this was luckily the first one in a few weeks. They are almost always at 3am, messing with my already disturbed sleep schedule, and it makes me even more angry thinking about why it keeps happening: No one at me school seems to know how to use a microwave! They keep setting their microwaves on fire! For some reason, people try to make popcorn at 3am and manage to mess it up so badly that the whole building has to be evacuated. And when we do get evacuated, we're kept outside, half naked in 20 degree weather for over an hour while the firemen come and clear out the microwave. One time, it was -5 degrees out, and we were kept standing in the dark for 2 hours! I wanted to rant about this, because this angers me to no end, and it is just sad that everyone at my school is so stupid.
