Why does everyone hate everything?

I'm generalizing here, but why does everyone seem to hate everything nowadays?

Honestly, when Equestria Girls was announced, it received awful reception from the brony community, without even giving it a chance.

Same goes for the Xbox One, which was just revealed today. As I scroll through Facebook and other forums, I see post after post about how it will be "laughable" as I saw in one post. It hasn't even been launched yet people are judging it.

Another example, Apple products. Many, many people prefer Windows, which I understand, but they go out of their way to criticize Mac users. Macs are innovative in their own right and can perform some tasks better than Windows.

Another few examples? Sure. Electronic Arts (EA) has an awful rep for overpricing products and being greedy, yet I honestly don't see the problem. They provide quality entertainment to the general population of gamers. I've never had a game of Battlefield 3 lag or crash on me. They even promised anyone who bought The Sims (which was awful and full of problems) on the release day a free pc game.

I think a lot of people today hate just for the sheer point of hating. There's no need for it. Just because something is changing up how we do or see things, like Equestria Girls and the Xbox One, doesn't mean it's going to be awful.

That's one of the truth about this world that not even pastel-colored critters will  change.  people will always find things to hate no matter how big or small. Things such as looks like the new EQG, Twicorn or even the Xbox One will have people create reasons to hate them.

Mind you, people have some legit reason to hate things like the Xbox One for its bullshit name (It's the third Xbox) or what it does that it promised not to do. Others... Well... We've seen parts of what'll happen in EQG (just a few for me) but Hasbro HAS thrown a few curveballs at us. Those clones? Changelings. That beam that everyone knew had something to do with Twilight's Aliconification? Blew her up! Now how awesome was that?!

Something I'd like to point out:

Trailers, such as the EqG one, are supposed to showcase the movie. You're SUPPOSED to make some judgements based on it. If this wasn't people would go to movies based on the title alone, which would be pointless, and not many people would see movies.

XB1 reveal was a tech demo, the point of which is to show off the console, to make people want to buy it. If what was shown today is the best they have, then I do not have high hopes for the console.

Also, we can't forget that most of what was revealed was like telling a movie buff that in order to watch the new movies, they have to buy a new DVD player that can't play any of their old ones, they can't borrow movies from friends or rent from a store without paying, and they have to be connected to the internet. Oh, sure, it won't stop their movie if they lose their connection, but you can bet that the XB1 is going to need to be online when you start a game to verify that THIS ISN'T A BORROWED GAME YOU THIEVING FUCKING PIRATE.

Yeah, I prefer PC. I don't go out of my way to insult Apple. But I do give my opinions on the matter whenever the topic comes up. And I don't know of any task a Mac can do better than a PC (except perhaps run/use proprietary Apple software/hardware, of course :P).

As for EA... yeah, they're not as bad as they are made out to be, but they have made quite a few poor, user-unfriendly decisions that make one question the intelligence of their execs.

@@Evilshy, I understand, I'm just trying to get my point across that people hating something right off the bat is completely unjustified. The fact that XB1 was just revealed today and people ALREADY hate it seems unreasonable to me. wink.png

The reason is obvious.

People don't like what is change, what is different, and what is not popular.

If they see others doing it, saying it, or believing it, they will too.

A lot of people don't like change, but they still need to realize that without change, they won't be going anywhere.

Are you going to stop becoming richer if you are already rich? No, you could find ways to make even more.

Though, are the consumers going to respect or follow it?
