@@Zhooves "Oh, that's fine!" Fiona assured. "I mean, I never explained my Pokemon half either, which is Venonat. Sadly, I don't have many useful abilities. I have night vision, which isn't bad, and my feet leak poison. All that really accomplishes is creeping people out, and I don't really have any use for that. Oh, and I get distracted by lights. If you ever see me staring at a lamp for too long, I'd appreciate it if you shook me out of it. It happens way more often than you'd think!" She giggled. "Venonat isn't the strongest Pokemon, nor is it very helpful, but I hope I'll get some cooler abilities once I evolve."

@@Zhooves "I live in Santalune City in Kalos," the Venonat gijinka stated, "and the weather changes a lot from season to season, so any type of heat regulation is good to have. Hey, I've got an idea; if you learn to control your cooling powers, maybe you could take away cold air. You could keep drinks warm yourself, and involuntary coldness wouldn't be a problem. Either that, or you could make friends with a fire-type gijinka. That would work too. Anyway, it's just a theory, and I doubt it would actually work, but you never know. "

@ I don't think Fiona would go that far unless she was drunk off of her butt. I think as an adult she'd be the type of drunk to just want to make out with everything in sight.

@ (*Dies of laughter*) I think that actually might make her feel better about it; she could show off her stuff all she wants and not have anyone react awkwardly.

@@Zhooves For some reason, it made Fiona feel good to see Sne smile. "Wow, that must have been some power nap. And I really don't mind, honestly - it'll be nice having a human air conditioner towards the end of the year when it starts getting hot out. Maybe if you shake up a cup of juice, you could get a slushie out of it! Have you ever tried?" The girl had a talent for looking on the bright side of things.

As Fiona starts to accomplish more and grow closer to evolving, she is going to grow more confident. By the time she evolves into Venomoth, she'll be outgoing and much more content with herself. Plus, she's gonna' be hot. Yeah, that...that always helps.

@@Zhooves "Well," Fiona began, "the winters are pretty cold where I'm from, so I guess you could say I'm used to it. I assume you're an ice gijinka, then." If Sne was going to be making things colder, she'd just have to wear a lot of sweaters. It occurred to her that maybe the floor would freeze, and she began to imagine herself ice skating around the room. The thought was so ridiculous, it made her laugh out loud. "Sorry," she explained, "I just had a funny thought."

@ Yeah, the character development is one of the things I'm looking forward to the most, and I'm curious to see in what direction each character is going.

@@Zhooves The door opened and a boy came in, accompanied by a gust of cool air. Fiona looked at him as he sat down, but she didn't let it interrupt her unpacking. "Hello," she said somewhat cheerily. "I'm Fiona. I guess we're roommates." She paused for a moment, thinking. "That frozen blanket must be uncomfortable. Do you want to use mine?"

@ Fey at least has proven she can be pretty tough. Eventually Fiona will get stronger, although I'm not intending to make her aggressive. On an unrelated note, I just realized that Fiona has something in common with pretty much everyone. Fey and Fiona both have names starting with F (and they're both girls), she lives in the same dorm room as Sne, she and Kenji are both eventually going to have wings (I think), and everyone else is a poison type. Huh.

@ And that's practically everybody - there are only two female students. Be scared for them.

@ XD Yeah, that sounds bad, doesn't it? I meant that some of the ice had melted, just for the record.

@, @, @@Suitaloo Fiona giggled. "Well, good luck with that! I think I'm going to go and head up to my room to unpack. I should get as early of a start I can, since everyone else is probably already done. I'm in Dorm 7, by the way. So, see you guys later!" She stood from her seat and put away her plate of food, noticing that Apisves had left no scraps. Upon exiting the cafeteria, she attempted to navigate to her room. At some point Fiona arrived at the front desk, and from there she knew the way. When she opened the door, she noticed something that she hadn't seen when she first entered the room; there was something very odd about the sheets on the other bed. A fair chunk of the blanket was frozen solid. How is it frozen? she wondered. Maybe it's an ice gijinka, I dunno'. Dismissing it altogether, she sat down on her own bed and began to unpack.

So, is the RP gonna' be taking an, uh, more awkward turn on occasion? I mean, I don't really care, I'm just wondering.

@, @@Suitaloo, @ The innocent Fiona looked at Jared's face, rather puzzled. Why is he blushing? she thought. "Yeah, I'd sure like to be able to whack someone with a plant!" she said cheerily, deciding to just move on. "In all honesty, though, I think I'll be lucky if I manage to learn Leech Life. Actually, I'm not sure - I have no idea what the level of training is in this school. I actually just got here before lunch, since I got the times all mixed up. Have you guys had any classes yet?"

@, @@Suitaloo, @ Fiona nodded in agreement. "Poison is pretty useful. It damages like a normal attack or ability, and then it just keeps going, what with the effect. If I could learn any attack at all, it'd be Venoshock. Not only is is poison, but it just looks so cool! Sadly, the closest I am to a poison attack is leaking poison from my feet." She laughed. "Seriously, that's one of my abilities! And it barely does anything, except ruin my shoes."

@ Fiona pondered Kage's comment. "I suppose you're right. I-" She was interrupted again by a much less friendly gijinka. This must be the guy Apisves was talking about earlier, she thought to herself. She stared in silent terror through the whole exchange. If one of her friends was being a bully to someone else, she would step in right away, but this was different. This was someone she didn't know who was arguing with himself, randomly challenging the first person he saw. At least, that was what it looked like. In case it was a correct assumption, Fiona didn't want to get bitten by this guy. She felt awful about it - after all, she was always mad at her friends if they didn't help her through something like that. She had a reason to be scared, though. For once, she hoped it was obvious how scared she was of the bully. Maybe she'd get a free pass.

@, @@Suitaloo, @ Another one? thought Fiona. "Wow, Apisves, you have a lot of friends!" She turned to smile at Kage as non-nervously as she could. "Hi, Kage! My name is Fiona. It's nice to meet you! I think I've heard of Lavender Town before. Is that the place with the Pokemon Tower? My city isn't nearly as exciting - I'm from Santalune City in Kalos."

@@Suitaloo "You are?" Fiona asked, surprised. "No way! I'm from Santalune City! We're not exactly neighbors, but if you just went on Route 13 and then jumped onto Route 4, you'd be in my city. That's funny, I wasn't expecting to find anyone else from Kalos in this school. Well, that's pretty cool!" Already she had something in common with this guy. She got a feeling she would like the Academy.

@, @@Suitaloo "Maybe you're getting close to evolving. I guess your 'cocoon' is peeling off so that-" Fiona's sentence was interrupted by the sudden appearance of a Roselia gijinka. "Oh, uh, h-hi. My name is Fiona. A-are you Apisves' friend?" Okay, Fiona thought to herself, you've already made a friend here. You've got this. It's true that even for a gijinka you look like you belong in an alien movie, but so do a lot of people here! Things ought to go well enough...

@ I don't think I properly can. I mean, I've never seen an episode of it; I've just seen a few clips from the show, and the fight scenes look pretty epic.

@ "And a functioning one at that," Fiona added. "Does Venonat to Venomoth count as drastic? I think wings sprouting from my back might hurt. You know, on second thought, it might be easier to have an in between phase. At least the transition is slow, rather than suddenly shoved in your face."

@ Huh. ...I like Sailor Moon better.

@ "Really?" It made sense, Fiona supposed, but she hadn't thought of it that way. "Well, it won't last forever. I'm not sure if puberty is better or worse for gijinkas - for full humans it comes slowly and annoyingly, and for gijinkas it comes in short, painful bursts. We at least have a general idea of what we'll look like when it ends."
