  1. @, @@Suitaloo, @ The innocent Fiona looked at Jared's face, rather puzzled. Why is he blushing? she thought. "Yeah, I'd sure like to be able to whack someone with a plant!" she said cheerily, deciding to just move on. "In all honesty, though, I think I'll be lucky if I manage to learn Leech Life. Actually, I'm not sure - I have no idea what the level of training is in this school. I actually just got here before lunch, since I got the times all mixed up. Have you guys had any classes yet?"
  2. @, @@Suitaloo, @ Fiona nodded in agreement. "Poison is pretty useful. It damages like a normal attack or ability, and then it just keeps going, what with the effect. If I could learn any attack at all, it'd be Venoshock. Not only is is poison, but it just looks so cool! Sadly, the closest I am to a poison attack is leaking poison from my feet." She laughed. "Seriously, that's one of my abilities! And it barely does anything, except ruin my shoes."
  3. @ Fiona pondered Kage's comment. "I suppose you're right. I-" She was interrupted again by a much less friendly gijinka. This must be the guy Apisves was talking about earlier, she thought to herself. She stared in silent terror through the whole exchange. If one of her friends was being a bully to someone else, she would step in right away, but this was different. This was someone she didn't know who was arguing with himself, randomly challenging the first person he saw. At least, that was what it looked like. In case it was a correct assumption, Fiona didn't want to get bitten by this guy. She felt awful about it - after all, she was always mad at her friends if they didn't help her through something like that. She had a reason to be scared, though. For once, she hoped it was obvious how scared she was of the bully. Maybe she'd get a free pass.
  4. @, @@Suitaloo, @ Another one? thought Fiona. "Wow, Apisves, you have a lot of friends!" She turned to smile at Kage as non-nervously as she could. "Hi, Kage! My name is Fiona. It's nice to meet you! I think I've heard of Lavender Town before. Is that the place with the Pokemon Tower? My city isn't nearly as exciting - I'm from Santalune City in Kalos."
  5. @@Suitaloo "You are?" Fiona asked, surprised. "No way! I'm from Santalune City! We're not exactly neighbors, but if you just went on Route 13 and then jumped onto Route 4, you'd be in my city. That's funny, I wasn't expecting to find anyone else from Kalos in this school. Well, that's pretty cool!" Already she had something in common with this guy. She got a feeling she would like the Academy.
  6. @, @@Suitaloo "Maybe you're getting close to evolving. I guess your 'cocoon' is peeling off so that-" Fiona's sentence was interrupted by the sudden appearance of a Roselia gijinka. "Oh, uh, h-hi. My name is Fiona. A-are you Apisves' friend?" Okay, Fiona thought to herself, you've already made a friend here. You've got this. It's true that even for a gijinka you look like you belong in an alien movie, but so do a lot of people here! Things ought to go well enough...
  7. @ "And a functioning one at that," Fiona added. "Does Venonat to Venomoth count as drastic? I think wings sprouting from my back might hurt. You know, on second thought, it might be easier to have an in between phase. At least the transition is slow, rather than suddenly shoved in your face."
  8. @ "Really?" It made sense, Fiona supposed, but she hadn't thought of it that way. "Well, it won't last forever. I'm not sure if puberty is better or worse for gijinkas - for full humans it comes slowly and annoyingly, and for gijinkas it comes in short, painful bursts. We at least have a general idea of what we'll look like when it ends."
  9. @ "...Oh." Fiona sounded a bit disappointed. She had expected to hear that it was some type of magical transformation, like with glowing lights and some sort of happy feeling. But, apparently, you just got sick. "It could've been worse, though," she comforted. "I was always glad Venonat and Venomoth have no middle stage because I thought that metamorphosis gijinkas were actually inside a cocoon!"
  10. @ "Yeah, I suppose you're right." Fiona thought for a moment. "You've already evolved once. What...what does it feel like?" She tried imagining herself as a Venomoth gijinka, as well as Apisves as a Beedrill. It was a little hard to visualize, as she had never seen gijinkas of either species.
  11. @ "Hey, the best offense is a good defense, right? Maybe you could keep hardening until nothing hurts you, then strike when your opponent has been worn out by constant (but ineffective) attacks." Fiona had a lot of free time growing up, and she loved Pokemon battles. Eventually she learned some strategy from watching them, and she even managed to invent her own. She still couldn't figure out how to put the mildly numbing poison on her feet to use, though. "It could work, if you learn a good enough attack."
  12. @ Fiona stared at his shed skin, a little surprised. "Well, I have some weirder abilities than that, although I don't think they'd help in a fight against 'Dragon Dude'. I can see really well in the dark, which comes in handy sometimes, but as soon as I see a light anywhere, I have to try really hard not to stare at it for an hour. My bug brain is attracted to light like a Venonat, and it can get really embarrassing when people start looking at me funny because I've been doing what looks like lamp analysis. That's actually what I was doing when you bumped into me, so actually, thanks for doing that. I'm not sure if the lunch bell would've snapped me out of it." She decided not to mention her more disgusting ability yet. Oh gosh, she thought, that's going to be really hard to cover up if I have to change my socks in the presence of my roommate...
  13. @ "Chew toy?" Fiona's irises shrunk at the thought. "Some rowdy students, huh? Wait, why would you sprinkle stun spores on yourself? Isn't that like asking for a trip to the hospital? I must agree with you on the food, though; lunch and dessert tend to be the highlights of my day, but I'm hoping there will be cooler things than just that at this school. I actually just arrived - I got the times mixed up for when we were supposed to get here."
  14. @ Fiona stared wide eyed at Apisves for a moment before laughing so hard she nearly fell out of her seat. "Ohohomygohohod! And I thought I was a fast eater!" After a few minutes she had calmed down, and she thought for a moment about his question. "Uhm, well, it was some potato-cheese soup, a few pieces of bread with an oil sauce, and a stuffed red bell pepper, filled with kinwa, some veggies, and what I can only describe as mystery meat. Did you just get really hungry from training, or was that your normal speed?" She tried to suppress a second giggle fit.
  15. @ "Yeah, I guess Muk would be a whole ton worse, wouldn't it?" She laughed. "You know a Gengar gijinka? Ghost types are really cool, at least in my opinion. They can fly without wings, and some of their moves are pretty epic looking. But hey, bug and poison types can be...good? Sometimes? At least we're not Feebas', let's just leave it at that." Fiona chuckled again. "Hey Apisves, have you had anything to eat yet? You can have the rest of my lunch if you want. I'm not super hungry right now."
  16. @ "Yeah, I get where you're coming from!" she giggled. "You were pretty close with dustox, though; I'm a venonat. Now that I think of it, venonat really isn't too well known among bug types. Probably the most popular are butterfree and beedrill. You're lucky you evolve into beedrill. When I evolve, my wings will send out scales that poison or paralyze anyone around me. I'll have to put plastic covers over the things!"
  17. @ She blinked. "Beat you up? Wha-?" Fiona decided it would be best to drop the subject. "Can you really not tell what I am? I'll give you a hint: look at just my head." She motioned with her hands around her mouth, trying to indicate mandibles. Apisves ought to be able to figure it out, what with the mandibles, her large red irises, her antennae, and her fuzzy purple hair.
  18. @ "Ack!" Snapped out of her daze by a sudden body slam, Fiona fell into the table. Thankfully, there was no food in her way. She vaguely heard an apology escape from the person who had knocked into her. "Wh-what?" Her eyes soon focused on the figure, who appeared to be a bug type gijinka boy. "Oh, uh, that's fine..." Assuming it was an accident, Fiona smiled at the boy sheepishly, trying to show that she was okay. "H-hi. I'm Fiona. Nice to meet you, I think." Her head hurt from hitting the table, and she wasn't thinking too great.
  19. Fiona felt...out of place, to say the least. She saw groups of friends hanging out while she had yet to meet anyone. She sat surrounded by people, and yet she was alone. The venonat girl knew the feeling all too well, but she had hoped she wouldn't be feeling it among other gijinkas. A quick eater, she was already half finished with her meal, and she didn't want to be that one kid who's done eating and just stares off into space, looking as bored and antisocial as a squirtle that's retreated into it's shell. Speaking of staring off into space, Fiona's eyes suddenly landed on a light hanging from the ceiling. Her bug instincts took over, and she looked at the light in fascination, transfixed. Now, she not only looked like a loner, but a creepy one at that. Oh joy. ((Random filler. Have a nice day!))
  20. Fiona ran as hard and as fast as she could from the car and into the building. Of course, she had to get the times mixed up for when she was supposed to arrive at her new school, and her mistake was realized all too late. A few hours late, to be precise. Upon entering the building, the secretary took notice of the new arrival and directed her to her key and her new room, mentioning that it was now lunch time. Fiona thanked her, grabbed a key with her name on it, and bolted up to the dorms. Dorm 7, huh? She thought to herself. Entering her room, she spotted someone's stuff on one of the beds, and she deposited her bags on the one adjacent. There would be time to unpack later, so Fiona practically flew downstairs to lunch. Hopefully she'd at least be on time for her meal. Once in the cafeteria, she grabbed a plate of food and looked about for a vacant seat next to someone who looked friendly.
  21. ((Sorry for the seriously late reply, I really didn't know if this RP was still going - I actually don't know right now, but I thought I'd post just in case.)) @@Mint Drop Blossom sighed with utter relief. "Thank you so much! Are...are the police com-AAAAAAH!" She interrupted herself with a pained shriek when Mint Drop tried to grab her newly-burnt hoof. She pulled it out of the Mare' s grasp, but not before some incredible pain. She fell over, realizing that she was really not in any shape to try and stand or walk. "I...burn...OW..."
  22. @@Mint Drop, @@Pripyat Pony The fire was almost at her hooves, and spreading quickly. Luckily for Blossom, freezing somepony in time and space is very difficult, so it doesn't last for long. Her hooves set fire just as they were released from the spell, along with the rest of her. The adrenaline rush still within her, renewed by the fire, allowed her to stomp her hooves rather deep into the dirt, which smothered the it. Well, after shrieking in pain, of course. She had second... maybe third degree burns. She was barely capable of walking on her already-blistered hooves, but she knew she had to get away. RUN away. These mares were insane, and she couldn't stop them, but she could get help. At least the police could try and do something, maybe put out the fire. She ran as fast as she could, and after a few seconds, she had made it about half a foot ahead of where she started. Well, buck.
  23. ((This is just my character being paralyzed, you don't really need to read it. I just felt like posting something.)) @@Pripyat Pony, @@Mint Drop, @ Suddenly, Blossom couldn't move. She started to try to scream, but her brain froze too. She was stuck, in the middle of the first raging heartbeat threatening to burst out of her chest, frozen in that feeling when terrified adrenalin first surges through your body but you know it won't help - you still can't save yourself. She was practically dead but so alive... ...that she wished she was dead.
  24. @, @@Pripyat Pony, @@Mint Drop As Blossom was heading to work, she noticed a slight burning smell. She thought nothing of it, but within a few minutes, it had grown much stronger, and she could hear fire crackling. Alarmed, she broke into a gallop towards the sound and eventually came to a raging inferno engulfing the Clinic. There were two mares out front, one helping a terrified pegasus filly struggling to escape. (Well, that's what it looked like.) Blossom ran up to them. "Oh my goodness," she began, "what's happened?! First the fog, now this!" She knelt down and grabbed the filly as well, trying to help pull her out.
  25. Blossom woke up many times in the night, nightmares plaguing her sleep, before finally giving up and crawling out of bed at 8:00. She was scared, really scared - much more than she wanted to believe. The mysterious fog was still there (not like she had really expected it to go away), and who knew what it was, what it would do, how long it would last? What if life would never be normal again? She tried to shove all of these thoughts out of her head as she went through her usual routine of readying herself for the day. She wondered if there would still be school; not many parents would want to let their kids out in circumstances like these. Soon Blossom heard the Chancellor's speech, as she lived near the center of town and town hall, where the speech emanated from, and the Chancellor told everypony to carry on as usual. Okay, she thought, there is school. I wonder how many ponies will show? Oh, the students will be so nervous... She trotted out the door and to the school to do her job - to teach.
