Today is Australia Day (26th) for us Aussie bronies, but it doesn't feel the same when the government is making everyday life a struggle financially and emotionally.

My OC Charming Heart (aka Charmie) in the Equestria Girls world would like something like this: Image Source: http://ambassad0r.deviantart.com/art/COM-Charming-Heart-EqG-style-486181651 Charmie would carry over her traits and personality from Equestria (kindness, caring for others and standing up for someone when needed) and her Spanish heritage and background would play a major part in her character. Charmie is also bilingual which means that she can speak both her native language and also english fluently without trouble. -

Today was meant to be one of excitement for the FiM movie announcement, but instead I have been mourning the loss of one of the Australian political greats who helped bring change to our country and give future generations what we take for granted today.

Wow, what a weekend that was! Finally got the chance to see Rainbow Rocks TV premiere live and I enjoyed every minute of it! Speaking of EQG though, I managed to pick up the US BD/DVD release of the first film from Amazon which arrived today: http://imgur.com/U9rJGq9

Agreed. Although I was thinking more about Twilight after the confrontation with Flash and how she was heartbroken after he pretty much spoke to her. For me though, it would have been nice if time was allowed to see Twilight being comforted/consoled by either one of the Mane 6 or even Sunset similar to this pic: Image Source: Why Did He Act That Way Towards Me? by JOSHWILLZ I know it might not fit into the film and the idea trying to come up with a scene could take too much time or lose viewer interest, but it would have shown a bit more of Sunset's caring side and also showed to the viewer that Twilight is capable of feeling different emotions in the CHS world. As a hypothetical scenario on how the scene would have played out, I would have had Twilight break away from Applejack and Twi would burst into tears and run away crying. After the Dazzlings confrontation scene with Sunset, she would try and find Twilight before they returned for the second act and then finds her crying in a convenient location (e.g. outside the portal etc, viewers choice) and then Sunset would comfort Twilight and give her some encouraging words to bounce back and try and break the spell. It doesn't have to be drawn out and long (preferred though) but just enough to give the whole scene an emotional touch at the end. I know this might sound a bit far out of the capacity and some people might not agree with the idea, but that is how I would approach the scene. -
Wow. That...was...awesome! After a few weeks of waiting for the TV premiere, I finally got the chance to see the film live this morning here in Australia despite a early 6:30 start and having to get up an hour earlier to be ready for the premiere. To sum it all up....I was not disappointed! I really got into the film and actually enjoyed watching it as well as posting my live reactions on Twitter. It was the next best thing to being at the cinema and seeing the film in person. There were a few gripes that I had with the TV version though. I was looking forward to seeing the scene with Flash and Twilight in the hallway after the first Rainbooms performance and seeing her in tears in high quality, but for some odd reason this was cut from the TV broadcast. I am not complaining, but it would have been nice to see that scene in this version as it would have generated a wave of emotional reactions. Apart from that, I would definitely see the film again when the DVD/Blu-Ray is released in a few weeks time. Same here. I would have loved to see Rainbow Rocks on release day, however we have to wait until December (IMDB unconfirmed) for the film to be released here, but that's if Madman decides to give the film a theatrical release in the first place. Scratch what I said earlier regarding the Australian cinema release, it looks like we might be getting the film earlier than expected with a November release date according to the Village Cinemas website: http://villagecinemas.com.au/movies/my_little_pony__equestria_girls___rainbow_rocks So I am holding out for either a YT or DM upload (extremely unlikely) or if the TV screening still goes ahead with Hub/Discovery Family changeover, watching the film on my US Slingbox (with live reactions on my second monitor) then buying the local DVD release afterwards. -
So with Sydneigh being cancelled, two last minute events have taken their place in the form of SalvageCon and PikaCon. Unfortunately.....I can't attend those events either. (Sighs).....

History is owned by A&E Networks, or AETN for short. Moving on to the main discussion for a bit, as a person who watches the show (abit through unmentionable methods) this news might have some impact for fans who reside overseas if the talk of the show going to another network happens to become reality. At the moment the show in Australia has not been treated well through the legal channels on both subscription or free to air TV with poor quality episode screenings (picture, sound and the PAL speedup issues), erratic scheduling (episodes shown out of order or repeated constantly) and delayed by a year or two. If the show moved networks in the US, then there is a chance that a similar move would be made for the overseas broadcasters, but that's for when it happens. -
One week away and then the bad news came through at 5:00 this afternoon. Sydneigh has been cancelled.
