Another good example was how the Ico boxart in EU completely stomps the US Box Art
And let's not forget the ever famous Megaman box art
US
vs
Japan
Even some small changes can make a boxart more memorable, for better or for worse, like US Kirby

Definitely EQG, as I've said repeatedly, GoH comes off as making My Little Pony edgy

I never thought I'd see the day when freaking Snails was the highlight of an episode.
But not really a shot at the episode, which I really liked. In a sense it reminds me of a sports version of Testing Testing 123, where RD and AJ's methods of playing the game doesn't work for Pinkie and Shy, and work better their own way(playing for fun as opposed to playing under pressure). It was also nice to see AJ and RD both gladly replace themselves with Pinkie and Shy for being better than them, as well as be willing to get their butts kicked to help them improve. Only thing I didn't like was how forced the pressure and conflict, especially with RD and AJ constantly saying how Ponyville is always counting on them, and much like the last episode it suffers from a weak middle part.
But otherwise it was a good episode. And hey, finally a good appearance for AJ and RD in this season, thank Christ
EDIT: also NO STRONGHEART, YOU FUCKING LIARS

Does Final Fantasy Anthology come with Chrono Trigger? Or is it the other FF-Pack thing?
Chrono Trigger is one of my all time fav SNES Games. I also have the DS Version, but haven't played it much cause I would rather play it on a TV.
I've been thinking about getting the Playstation version. I heard it has anime cutscenes and other extra stuff.
Anthology comes with FFV and VI, Chronicles comes with IV and Chrono Trigger

oh boy. where do I begin
Final Fantasy Tactics and Metal Gear Solid are my top pics, but aside from those
- Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX
- Metal Gear VR Missions
- Resident Evil 2 and 3
- Tekken 3
- Klonoa
- Megaman X4 and X5(X6 is hard to recommend, give a try though if you enjoyed the other 2)
- Megaman Legends 1, 2 and Misadventures of Tron Bonne
- Megaman 8
- Syphon Filter 1-3
- Legend of Dragoon
- Crash Trilogy
- Spyro Trilogy
- Symphony of the Night
- Silent Hill
Based on my personal experience, some of these games can be expensive though, like the Megaman Legends games and Klonoa

Well, my interest surprisingly shot up.
Also please let this be a good episode for RD and AJ, they really really need it at this point

Rainbow Shine is a BG pony that's appeared a lot of times especially in the older seasons. I highly doubt she's RD's mom, and if she is that'd be incredibly lazy
Honestly I'd prefer she grew up with a single parent

The definition of wasted potential imo. This arc would've benefited from one more comic, because they really rushed the s*** out of this
Pinkie, Twilight and Rarity felt like they were the only villains where they were gonna go anywhere with, and they hyped up Evil Rarity vs Evil Twilight only for it to last a couple of panels
Evil Fluttershy builds an entire army to attack Ponyville only to not do anything
AJ in general just makes a lame villain
And I'm certain they forgot about RD writing this, because she does f*** all as a villain and only shows up right when she's cured. So if you're an RD fan you're pretty much screwed over
Luna turning into Nightmare Moon again only to turn out to be faking it is pretty lame too
The method of curing Ponyville also feels incredibly rushed because by the time things finally start getting excited they immediately turn things back to normal
And for being the biggest bad of all, Twilight coming back to normal by a gag is also pretty lame
Like most arcs in the comics, it was interesting but the final comic completely ruins it :/

This was a good episode, though not great like some people say it is. At the very least, it's one S6's better episodes.
It had a really great first third and a great third, uh, third. But Christ Almighty did the middle take it's sweet ass time. The episode would've improved if it spent less time explaining the game and Discord trying to avoid it and more time in fantasy world. It's still a good, fun episode, but that middle part really hurts it

not too excited about this tbh. Applejack episodes focusing around her family have a tendency to be mediocre at best, so not expecting much. Especially since I think that applebloom is, by far, the weakest of the CMC, being pretty bland compared to sweetie belle and scoots.
I'm hopeful we'll get some information about AJ's parents, but I doubt it
That being said, this syncs up well with the IDW comic's explanation for AJ's aversion to lying in the pigasus comic, where she talks about not ever wanting to lie because someone always pays a price at some point.
Honestly I don't know why the writers love giving Applebloom so much attention. She's no where near as interesting as the other two CMC yet she's gotten more than double of what the other two have combined in terms of episodes. There's still plenty of what they can do with Sweetie and Scoots but they're largely ignored, while Applebllom gets a ton of spotlight yet her episodes haven't done anything to make her more interesting or sway me over

And no, they shouldn't suggest that AJ killed her parents, that'd just be awful

It's the result of the Midnight Hour.
It shows up in place of Canterlot High every full moon

Recently got a PS3, surprised at how cheap a lot of it's exclusives are
only paid around $5 for MGS4, Uncharted, Resistance, Infamous and Killzone 3 together
Also got both Kingdom Hearts Remaster collections

Bringing back Lightning Dust would make no sense for an episode like this, it'd make more sense to bring her back in a Wonderbolt/RD focus episode(like Top Bolt)
I'm putting my bet on Little Strongheart, she has been gone forever but was recently featured in the Friends Forever series and it would line up nicely with the release, plus the episode already features Appleoosa

Besides the obligatory Celestia episode? An episode that erases Newbie Dash fro existence and give Rainbow Dash an actually satisfying conclusion to her Wonderbolt arc.
Other than that, AJ's parents and RD meets Scootaloo's parents

It does reflect poorly on Josh Haber as a story editor considering this isn't the first stock/reused plot we've seen this season.
I know the show's had its fair share of predictable plots in the past but this season, but not only have we've been seeing more of them, but the current writers aren't doing anything to make them interesting, or retreading old ideas and executing them worse

Unsurprisingly, 90% of these responses are from people who have absolutely no clue about most of the games they're talking about, and are just circlejerking popular games
The Smash Bros games. There is no strategy, it is just button mashing.
Button massing is the one thing you never want to do in Smash. It almost guarantees that you'll get you ass handed to you

Dude nothing's been confirmed, can't keep passing off your speculation as facts. It looks like Toon Boom is gonna be used for the movie, but absolutely nothing suggests that they're gonna move away from Flash all together

Laaaaaame, those were my favorite parts of both films

Which episode would you suggest be a new viewer's first?
in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Based on personal experience, Read it and Weep is always a good one
